The WNS Global BPO segment includes all of its business activities with the exception of WNS Auto Claims BPO. This segment's vertical business units include, insurance; travel and leisure; manufacturing, retail, consumer products, media and entertainment, telecom and diversified businesses; consulting and professional services; healthcare; banking and financial services; utilities; shipping and logistics; and public sector. It also offers a range of services that are common across multiple industries in the areas of customer care (or contact center), finance and accounting, human resource outsourcing, research and analytics, technology and legal services. The company's history dates back to April 1996 when it began operations as an in-house unit of British Airways. The company was founded by Alan Stephen Dunning, David Charles Tibble and Neeraj Bhargava on February 18, 2002 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
