International Minerals is a Canadian mineral resource company engaged, indirectly through its subsidiaries, in the exploration, development and exploitation of gold and silver deposits in the northern Andes of South America (Peru and Ecuador) and in the state of Nevada, U.S.A. The principal mineral resource properties of the Company at the present time are (a) its interests in the Pallancata silver (40%-IMZ) mine and Inmaculada gold-silver project (40%-IMZ) in southern Peru, (b) its interests in the Rio Blanco gold-silver property and the Gaby gold property in Ecuador, (c) its interests in the Goldfield and Converse gold projects in Nevada U.S.A. and the Company has additional exploration properties in Peru and Nevada.

Executives

Stephen J. Kay, President, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Mr. Kay has been President, CEO and a Director of the Corporation since its inception in 1993. He is a geologist with over 38 years of gold exploration experience in Europe, South Africa, South America and the United States. From 1985 to 1993, he was founder and President of GD Resources Inc., a successful smelter of precious metal by-products from U.S. gold mines. From 1983 to 1985, Mr. Kay worked with Amselco Exploration (BP Minerals) where he was involved in the discoveries of the Colosseum and Yellow Aster gold mines, both in California. During his 10 years with Gold Fields Mining Corporation until 1983, he was responsible for the initial drilling of the three-million ounce Mesquite gold mine in California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Swansea University in Wales, United Kingdom. Mr. Kay is also a director of New Dimension Resources and Delta Mining and Exploration Corp.
Scott M. Brundson, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Brunsdon is Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation and brings to the Company over 25 years of financial and management experience in the mining sector with both junior and major companies, including 17 years with Placer Dome in the United States and Canada. He has also held senior management positions with Dayton Mining, Hillsborough Resources and Revett Minerals. Most recently he was a financial advisor to the CFO for Timmins Gold assisting the company to enhance its internal and public reporting functions as it transitioned to an operating company from a pure exploration company. His extensive experience ranges from directing all financial aspects of mining and exploration activities to corporate development, corporate administration and mergers-and-acquisitions (“M&A”) activities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Economics) from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada and an MBA from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
Nick Appleyard, Vice President, Corporate Development
Mr. Appleyard is Vice President, Corporate Development for IMZ. Except for a short period, he has worked with IMZ since1995. Prior to his recent appointment as VP Corporate Development, he was responsible for the technical management of all IMZ exploration and development projects in Ecuador and Peru, together with playing a key role in identifying and evaluating potential new corporate acquisitions for IMZ. He graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Australia with a B.Sc. (Geology) in 1991 and has worked predominantly in gold exploration, development and mining projects in Australia, South America and East Africa. With his involvement in various precious metal projects ranging from exploration through to development, construction and operation, he has developed specialized skills in marrying resource and reserve estimation techniques with project management and economic evaluation requirements.
Paul Durham, Vice President, Corporate Relations
Mr. Durham has been employed for the past 30 years in the Financial Services Industry, in both institutional equity sales and research, specializing in the Natural Resources Sector and has spent the past 15 years based in New York working with institutional clients in the US and Canada. Most recently he was Senior Vice President – Global Mining and Metals for Auerbach Grayson, based in New York and his extensive experience includes 10 years with HSBC in New York and 13 years with Scotia Bank, based in New York and London. His client base included the major specialist resource funds, together with emerging market and hedge funds and some of the larger generalist funds involved in the mining sector. Born in the UK and a geologist by training, Mr. Durham spent five years working in the South African gold and base metal mines with Gold Fields. He graduated in 1974 from University College Cardiff in Wales with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Mineral Exploitation and in 1980 obtained a Masters degree in Management Studies from Durham University Business School in England.
Alan F. Matthews, Vice President, Special Projects
Mr. Matthews, a graduate from the Camborne School of Mines and a Chartered Engineer, has extensive experience of over 35 years in mining and exploration in the minerals industry, specializing in gold, copper and industrial minerals. Mr. Matthews started his career in South Africa with Anglo American Corporation and for the first 10 years of his career was closely involved with producing mines in various countries. Since then he has been involved with the start-up and commissioning of mines in Scotland (Aberdeen Barytes), Papua New Guinea (Ok Tedi), the United States (various SX-EW copper operations) and Portugal (Jales gold deposit). He is a director of  Redzone Resources, Ltd. and a member of the Institute of Directors (UK).
