Bankers Petroleum Ltd. is a Canadian-based oil and gas exploration and production company focused on the value of its heavy oil assets in Albania. The company operates and develops the Patos-Marinza and Kuçova heavy oilfields pursuant to license agreements with the Albanian National Agency for Natural Resources and a Petroleum Agreement with Albpetrol Sh.A, the state owned oil and gas corporation. The Patos-Marinza oilfield is the onshore oilfield in continental Europe and also owns interest in exploration block F. The company was formerly known as Gold Park China Ltd. and changed its name to Bankers Petroleum Ltd. in June 2004. Bankers Petroleum was founded by Robert Melvin Douglas Cross on August 11, 1983 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
