Land Securities Group Plc is a real estate investment trust, which owns, develops and manages offices, shopping centres and retail parks in the United Kingdom. It operates through two divisions: Retail Portfolio and London Portfolio. The Retail Portfolio division includes shopping centres, shops, retail warehouse properties, accor hotel portfolio and assets held in retail joint ventures but not central London retail. The London Portfolio includes all its London offices and London retail, but excludes those assets held in the Metro Shopping Fund LP. The company was founded by Harold Samuel on February 15, 1944 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
