The Marketing and Distribution segment operates service stations, and sells refined products in wholesale or retail. The Chemicals segment manufactures and sells chemical products. The Corporate and Others segment includes trading, research and development activities of the company. The company was founded on February 25, 2000 and is headquartered in Beijing, China.

Fu Chengyu, Chairman of China Petrochemical Corporation

Since 1983, Mr. Fu had worked as Chairman of the Management Committees of joint ventures between China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and international oil majors of Amoco, Chevron, Texaco, Phillips, Shell and Agip. In 1994, he was named Deputy General Manager of CNOOC Nanhai East Corporation and in December 1995, he became Vice President of Phillips Asia Inc. and General Manager of the Xijiang Development Project. In April 1999, he was named General Manager of CNOOC Nanhai East Corporation and five months later, he became Executive Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CNOOC Limited, a subsidiary of CNOOC. In October 2000, Mr. Fu was named Vice President of CNOOC and was appointed concurrent President of CNOOC Limited in December 2000. In August 2002, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL), a subsidiary of CNOOC. Mr. Fu became President of CNOOC, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CNOOC Limited in October 2003. On 16 September 2010, he resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer of CNOOC Limited and remained its Chairman. Mr. Fu became Chairman of Sinopec Group in April 2011.

Mr. Wang is a professor level senior engineer and obtained a doctoral degree. In March 1999, Mr. Wang became Vice President of Qilu Petrochemical Company of China Petrochemical Corporation. In February 2000, he was appointed as Vice President of Sinopec Corp. Qilu Company. In September 2000, he was promoted to President of Sinopec Corp. Qilu Company. Since July 2001, he has been member of the Party Committee of China Petrochemical Corporation.Since August 2011, he has been President of China Petrochemical Corporation.

Zhang Yaocang, Vice President

Mr. Zhang is a professor level senior engineer and obtained a Master’s degree. In November 1990, Mr. Zhang became Deputy Director General of Bureau of Oil Geology and Marine Geology of Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. In February 1994, he was also appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bureau. In June 1997, he became Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Sinopec Star Petroleum Co., Ltd. In April 2000, he was appointed as Assistant to President of China Petrochemical Corporation and concurrently President of Sinopec Star Petroleum Co., Ltd. In August 2000, he was also appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of Sinopec Star Petroleum Co., Ltd. Since July 2001, he has been Vice President of China Petrochemical Corporation and member of the Party Committee of China Petrochemical Corporation.
