He was formerly a non-executive director of Royal London UK Equity & Income Trust plc, Income & Growth Trust plc, Framlington 2nd Dual Trust plc and BFS Income & Growth Trust plc. David S Copperwaite, Guernsey Resident Independent Non-Executive Director
David S Copperwaite (Independent Non-executive Director) was appointed a Director on 18 June 2009. He has been involved as a director in a number of investment funds operated by various financial groups including Lloyds TSB Bank, Scottish Widows, Premier and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. David is a former chairman and president of The Guernsey International Bankers Association, The Association of Guernsey Banks, and is a current member of the Institute of Directors and the Guernsey Investment Fund Association. Philip Hebson (Independent Non-Executive Director) was appointed a Director on 23 December 2009. He is a chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a member of the Institute of Directors. Howard Myles, French Resident Independent Non-Executive Director
Howard Myles (Independent Non-Executive Director) was appointed a Director on 23 Decmeber 2009. He was a partner in Ernst & Young from 2001 until June 2007 and was responsible for the investment funds corporate advisory team. He was previously with UBS Warburg from 1987 to 2001. Howard began his career in stockbroking in 1971 as an equity salesman and joined Touche Ross in 1975 where he qualified as a chartered accountant. In 1978 he joined W. Greenwell & Co in the corporate broking team and in 1987 moved to SG Warburg Securities where he was inolved in a wide range of commercial and industrial transactions in addition to leading Warburg's corporate finance function for investment funds. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and is a non-executive director of five other listed investment companies.
David Staples , Guernsey Resident Independent Non-Executive Director
David is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He also holds the Institute of Directors’ diploma in company direction. For thirteen years until 2003, David was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) and led the tax practice in the South East of England. Since leaving PwC, David has been appointed to the boards of several companies as a non executive director. He is the chairman of MedicX Fund Limited (listed on LSE main market) and he chairs the audit committees of several listed companies. His other appointments include directorships of HSBC Private Bank (C.I.) Limited and the general partner companies of four large private equity funds managed by Apax Partners.
