Porvair Plc develops, designs and manufactures specialist filtration and separation equipment. It operates two divisions: Metals Filtration and Microfiltration. The Metals Filtration division designs and manufactures porous ceramic filters for the filtration of molten metals. The Microfiltration division designs and manufactures a broad range of specialist filtration equipment for application in aerospace, energy, bioscience, water and industrial applications. The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Kings Lynn, the United Kingdom.

Executives

Ben Stocks, Group Chief Executive
Joined the Group as Chief Executive in February 1998. He was previously UK Managing Director of the Speciality Packaging Division of Carnauld Metal Box. He holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Christopher Tyler, Group Finance Director
Appointed to the Board in September 2004. He had previously held a number of senior financial positions at Cable & Wireless, latterly as Chief Financial Officer of Cable & Wireless in the Caribbean. He is a chartered accountant.
Charles Matthews, Chairman
Appointed to the Board in January 2005 and became Chairman on 12 April 2006. He is also Chairman of Norican Group ApS and Beck & Pollitzer Ltd. He was previously Non-Executive Director of FKI plc, Chief Executive of Cosworth, Managing Director of Rolls Royce and Bentley Motor Cars and a member of the Vickers Group plc Executive Board.
Andrew Walker, Senior Non-Executive Director
Appointed to the Board in January 2005. He is a Non-Executive Director of API Group plc and Plastics Capital plc. He was previously Chief Executive of McKechnie plc and South Wales Electricity plc.
Paul Dean, Non-Exectuive Director
Paul has been Finance Director of Ultra Electronics Plc since January 2009 having previously been Finance Director of Foseco from 2001 until its acquisition by Cookson plc in April 2008. He was a key part of the team that led the 2001 management buy-out from Burmah Castrol of five specialty chemicals businesses to form Foseco (Jersey) which was floated as Foseco plc in May 2005. From 1989 to 2001, Paul held a number of senior finance roles in Burmah Castrol plc. He is a Chartered ManagementĀ Accountant.
