Executives

John Bennett, Fund Manager
John joined Henderson in 2011 as Director of European Equities. Prior to that, John was a Senior Investment Manager in the European Equity Team at Gartmore. John has a 24-year track record of managing Continental and Pan European Equities and joined Gartmore in 2010 from GAM where he spent 17 years. At GAM John managed the GAM Star Continental European Equity Fund and the GAM Star European Equity Fund Both funds were awarded a AAA rating by S&P and together received a total of 27 performance awards at the Lipper Fund Awards 2009. John qualified in 1986 as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
Rodney Dennis, Chairman
Rodney is Chairman of the Board and of the Nomination, Remuneration and Management Engagement Committees. He runs an investment and pensions consulting business. He was formerly deputy chief executive of the Prince’s Trust, prior to which he held a number of senior positions at Prudential Portfolio Managers Limited.
Jean Claude Banon, Director
Jean retired in June 2011 from Veolia Environnement SA where he was for many years CEO of some of the group’s operations in the UK, then representative of the group within the EU institutions in Brussels. He is now developing corporate advisory services.
Alexander Comba, Director
Alexander is Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is a chartered accountant. He has been group finance director of Vinci PLC, one of the UK’s leading construction groups, since 1993.
Michael Firth, Director
Is a non-executive director of Network Rail Limited and Communisis plc. He was previously a non-executive director of Somerfield plc and First Technology PLC having previously been head of corporate banking at HSBC Bank plc.
