Executives

Brian O'Neill, Fund Manager
Brian joined Henderson in 2011 as an Investment Manager for Global Equities. Prior to that, Brian was a Senior Investment Manager on the Global Equities team in Gartmore since 1981, with responsibility for a range of global funds. Brian managed Gartmore's International Equity capability, various segregated mandates and the Gartmore Global Trust Fund, as well as being involved in the management of the Global Equities team's hedge and other specialist funds. Brian began his career with Royal Insurance as an Investment Analyst specialising in UK research. He expanded his field of expertise to include management of global equities later moving to Anthony Gibbs & Sons where he was appointed as a Fund Manager, specialising in global equities. Brian graduated in 1969 with an Honours degree in Political Economy from Glasgow.
Richard Bernays, Chairman
Has spent his working life in the investment management and financial services industries including roles at Mercury Asset Management, where he became vice chairman; Hill Samuel Asset Management as chief executive; Jupiter Asset Management as deputy chairman and Old Mutual International, where he served as chief executive. He is also a former chairman of Hermes Pensions Management Limited, Martin Currie Income & Growth Trust plc and of the asset management committee of the London Investment Banking Association. He is an adviser for investment trust activities at Oriel Securities.
Miriam Greenwood, Director
A qualified barrister who has held senior positions with a range of financial institutions, including SG Warburg, Hill Samuel, Morgan Grenfell/Deutsche Bank and Brewin Dolphin. She was a founder director and chief operating officer of British Linen Advisers Limited. She has extensive experience in debt and capital markets.
Richard Hills, Director
Has over 25 years of experience in fund management as both a stock-picker and asset allocation strategist, holding senior management positions at Henderson Administration Plc and Aberdeen Trust Plc. Has managed portfolios of both traditional and alternative assets for a wide range of clients.
Lance Moir, Director
He was a senior lecturer in finance and accounting at Cranfield University School of Management from which he holds a PhD. He has held a number of senior financial positions during his career, which has included CFO of WIN plc and Executive Director of IMImobile, group finance director and director of planning and business development for First Choice Holidays plc, director of corporate finance for Bass plc and also a similar position for Storehouse plc. He is a fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, where he was a member of council. He was senior non-executive director of Raft International Plc from 2000 to 2006, an AIM quoted company.
Richard Stone, Director
He is a Chartered Accountant and a former member of the Global Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to the merger with Price Waterhouse in 1998, he was deputy chairman of Coopers & Lybrand.
