He is Vice Chair (elect) of the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust, & Chairman of Governors at Westonbirt Schools. He started his career in Lincoln's Inn at Trower Still & Keeling (now Trowers & Hamlins), leaving as a partner in 1980 to attend Harvard Business School. In 1982, he joined the international management consultancy Arthur D Little in Boston, moving to Singapore in 1986 as Regional President. In 1993, he joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as Managing Partner of the Asia Strategy business.
