Scott G. Cameron, Vice President, Finance & Deposit Services
Mr. Cameron is responsible for financial reporting, investor relations, cash management, mortgage underwriting, mortgage processing and portfolio administration. With the continuation of CHIP as HomEquity Bank, Mr. Cameron has assumed oversight of the deposit business.
Mr. Cameron joined CHIP in 2000 as Director of Finance and became Vice President, Finance in 2001. Previously, Mr. Cameron was Controller of TD Asset Management Inc.
Mr. Cameron, a Chartered Accountant, graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute with a Bachelor of Business Management.
Steven Ranson, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ranson is accountable for setting the strategic direction and the operational performance of HOMEQ Corporation and its subsidiaries to deliver business profitability and to create an entity capable of sustainable value creation for its shareholders.
Mr. Ranson joined Canadian Home Income Plan (CHIP, the predecessor to HomEquity Bank) as Chief Financial Officer in 1997 and was appointed President in 1998 and CEO in 2001. He continued in his role through the public offering of Home Equity Income Trust in 2002 and the conversion of the Trust to a corporation in June 2009. Prior to joining CHIP, he held several senior roles in the Canadian financial services industry.
Mr. Ranson is a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of First Capital Realty Corporation, a TSX-listed real estate company.
Mr. Ranson, a Chartered Accountant, graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce and he also holds a Masters, Business Administration from York University.
Greg Bandler, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Bandler joined Canadian Home Income Plan in 2005 as the Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. In this role, he is responsible for all sales, marketing and distribution channel activities. Upon joining CHIP, Mr. Bandler was responsible for re-branding and repositioning the CHIP product offering. He also initiated expanding the distribution network to include all the national chartered banks and initiated the rollout of products to wealth management firms and leading mortgage brokers.
Prior to joining CHIP, Mr. Bandler was the Managing Director of Brand-Point, a strategic advisory service with a diverse range of corporate, entrepreneurial and not-for-profit clients. Previously, Mr. Bandler held executive roles with sales & marketing portfolios for Triversity, a Canadian point-of-sale transaction processing software company and ProCarta, a Canadian software start-up.
Mr. Bandler graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce.

As the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HomEquity Bank, Mr. Krikler is responsible for all financial operations of the company including finance and accounting, underwriting, mortgage processing, treasury, capital management, investor relations and information technology. Mr. Krikler is also responsible for identifying, assessing and managing all elements of risk. With the continuation of CHIP as HomEquity Bank, he has also assumed the role of Internal Audit Liaison.
Mr. Krikler joined CHIP in 2003. During his tenure, he has led complex capital market activities to raise debt and equity to finance rapid portfolio growth and has been instrumental in the design and introduction of new products.
Previously, Mr. Krikler held executive roles with AOL Canada where he was the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and McGraw-Hill Ryerson where he was the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Krikler, a Chartered Accountant, has a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and a Masters, Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Executive Program, University of Western Ontario.
Celia Cuthbertson, Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
As Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Ms. Cuthbertson is responsible for legal affairs. She manages day-to-day legal aspects of business risks, regulatory compliance, legal services and other corporate projects, and provides corporate governance support, including acting as Corporate Secretary to HomEquity Bank’s Board of Directors.
Ms. Cuthbertson joined CHIP in 2002. She has worked closely with boards and senior executive teams both as a lawyer with a corporate law firm and as a compensation consultant with a global human resource advice provider. In addition, she has securities regulatory experience gained while at the Ontario Securities Commission.
Ms. Cuthbertson has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from Queen’s University and is a member of the Ontario bar.
Wendy L. Dryden, Vice President, Business Development
Ms. Dryden is responsible for New Product Development, Strategic Alliances and Client Relationship Services. With the continuation of CHIP as HomEquity Bank, she has also assumed the roles of Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, and Complaints Officer.
She joined the organization as Vice President, Marketing in 2001. Prior to joining the organization she ran her own marketing consulting firm specializing in retail financial product development for major Canadian financial institutions. She has also held senior marketing management positions with a major Canadian insurance company, chartered bank, and full-service brokerage.
Ms. Dryden holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
Neil N. Sider, Vice President, Information Technology
Dr. Sider is responsible for all technology areas (strategic direction, technology selection, development, deployment and support).
He joined the organization as Director of IT in 1999, and was appointed to his current position in 2001. Prior to joining the organization, he held senior management positions in Research & Development with Nortel Networks, Alcatel, Honeywell and Control Data, and was Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Messiah College.
Dr. Sider obtained his Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University in Computer Science.
Lori Sone-Cooper, Vice President, Human Resources & Chief Privacy Officer
As Vice President, Human Resources & Chief Privacy Officer, Ms. Sone-Cooper is accountable for providing Human Resources counsel and advice to the business. As a strategic business partner and coach, Ms. Sone-Cooper provides leadership, direction and support for all aspects of the Human Resources portfolio for HomEquity Bank. She sits on the Operating Risk Management Committee.
An accomplished Human Resources Professional and Leadership Coach, Ms. Sone-Cooper consulted to HomEquity Bank/CHIP for nine years prior to joining on a full-time basis in May 2010. Peviously, she ran her own successful Consulting & Coaching business for thirteen years specializing in both strategic and tactical Human Resources projects. She has had proven success in providing HR leadership, direction and planning skills to ensure the establishment and utilization of a people focused strategy which considers revenue, profitability and cost-effective targets.
Ms. Sone-Cooper sits on the board for two not-for-profit organizations; Steppin' Out Theatrical Productions and Renanim.
Ms. Sone-Cooper has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from York University and holds her CHRP designation. She has also completed the Coaches Training Institute's Advanced Coaching Program.
