Company Description
Photronics, Inc. manufactures and sells photomasks, which are high precision photographic quartz plates containing microscopic images of electronic circuits. These are used in the manufacture of semiconductors and flat panel displays, and are used as masters to transfer circuit patterns onto semiconductor wafers and flat panel substrates during the fabrication of integrated circuits and a variety of FPDs and, to a lesser extent, other types of electrical and optical components. Photomasks technology is also being applied to the fabrication of other higher performance electronic products such as photonics, micro-electronic mechanical systems and certain nanotechnology applications. Photronics was founded by Constantine S. Macricostas in 1969 and is headquartered in Brookfield, CT.
