Resource Capital Corporation. The Group's principal activity is a specialty finance company focused on real-estate related assets to a lesser extent higher-yielding commercial finance assets. The Group's investment strategy focuses on the following asset classes' commercial real estate-related assets such as commercial mortgage-backed securities, B notes and mezzanine debt, residential real estate-related assets such as residential mortgage-backed securities and commercial finance assets such as other asset-backed securities, equipment leases, trust preferred securities and private equity investments principally issued by financial institutions. It will elect to be treated as a REIT for federal income tax purposes. It operates solely in domestic markets.
