Kaman Corp. is a diversified company that conducts business in the aerospace and industrial distribution markets. It operates through two business segments: Distribution and Aerospace. The Distribution segment provides products which include bearings, mechanical and electrical power transmission, fluid power, motion control, and materials handling components, electrical control and power distribution, and maintenance, repair and operations supplies to a broad spectrum of industrial markets throughout North America. The Aerospace segment produces and markets proprietary aircraft bearings and components; complex metallic and composite aero structures for commercial, military and general aviation fixed and rotary wing aircraft; safe and arming solutions for missile and bomb systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. The company also offers subcontract helicopter work; support for its SH-2G Super Seasprite maritime helicopters and K-MAX manned and unmanned medium-to-heavy lift helicopters; and engineering design, analysis and certification services. Kaman was founded by Charles H. Kaman in 1945 and is headquartered in Bloomfield, CT.
