It operates through two reportable segments: OrthoRecon and Extremities. The OrthoRecon segment includes products that are used primarily to replace or repair knee, hip and bones that have deteriorated or have been damaged through disease or injury. The Extremities segment includes products that are used primarily in foot and ankle repair, upper extremity products, and biologics products, which are used to replace damaged or diseased bone, to stimulate bone growth and to provide other biological solutions for surgeons and their patients. It also provides unique technologies through its biologic materials product line which has both synthetic and human tissue-based materials. The company was founded by Frank O. Wright in 1950 and is headquartered in Arlington, TN.
