The Industrial Biosciences segment develops and manufactures a broad portfolio of bio-based products, enzymes that add value and functionality to a broad range of products and processes such as animal nutrition, detergents, food manufacturing, ethanol production and industrial applications resulting in cost and process benefits, better product performance and improved environmental outcomes. The Nutrition & Health offers sustainable, bio-based ingredients and advanced molecular diagnostic solutions, providing innovative solutions for specialty food ingredients, food nutrition, health and safety. The segment's products include cultures, emulsifiers, gums, natural sweeteners and soy-based food ingredients, hold leading market positions based on industry leading innovation, relevant product portfolio and close-partnering with the world's food manufacturers. The Performance Chemicals segment delivers customized solutions with a wide range of industrial and specialty chemical products for markets, including plastics and coatings, textiles, mining, pulp and paper, water treatment and healthcare. The Safety & Protection segment businesses, protection technologies, sustainable solutions and building innovations, delivers products and services to a large number of markets, including construction, transportation, communications, industrial chemicals, oil and gas, electric utilities, automotive, manufacturing, defense, homeland security and safety consulting. The Performance Materials segment businesses performance materials businesses, performance polymers and packaging and industrial polymers provide productive, higher performance polymers, elastomers, films, parts, and systems and solutions which improve the uniqueness, functionality and profitability of its customers' offerings. The key markets served by the segment include the automotive original equipment manufacturers and associated after-market industries, as well as electrical, packaging, construction, oil, electronics, photovoltaics, aerospace, chemical processing and consumer durable goods. The Pharmaceuticals segment markets and manufactures Cozaar and Hyzaar which are used in the treatment of hypertension. The company was founded by Eleuthère Irénée du Pont in 1802 and is headquartered in Wilmington, DE.

Ellen Kullman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Ellen Kullman, 57, is chair of the board and chief executive officer of DuPont. She is the 19th executive to lead the company in more than 208 years of DuPont history. Ellen became CEO on Jan.1, 2009, and chair of the board on Dec. 31 that year. She was president from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2008. Prior to that, she served as executive vice president and a member of the company's office of the chief executive. As CEO, Ellen has championed market-driven science to drive innovation across the company’s businesses. Under her leadership, decision making has moved closer to customers around the world, resulting in greater partnering, collaboration, and solutions attuned to local needs. A native of Wilmington, Del., Ellen began her career at DuPont in 1988 as a marketing manager. She served as business director for several businesses including White Pigment & Mineral Products where she became vice president and general manager in 1995. She assumed leadership of two high-growth businesses, DuPont Safety Resources in 1998 and Bio-Based Materials in 1999. She was named group vice president - DuPont Safety & Protection in 2002. In 2006, she was named executive vice president with responsibility for three business platforms and several functions including Marketing & Sales. In 2008, she was tapped to lead the company's focus on growth in emerging international markets. She is a member of the U.S.-India CEO Forum, the Business Council, and the executive committee of SCI-America. She is co-chair of the National Academy of Engineering Committee on Changing the Conversation: From Research to Action. Ellen is a member of the board of directors of United Technologies Corp. She also is on the board of trustees of Tufts University and serves on the board of overseers at Tufts University School of Engineering. Prior to joining DuPont, Ellen worked for General Electric. She holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University and a masters degree in management from Northwestern University.
Scott Coleman, Vice President - Corporate Marketing & Sales Chief Marketing & S
Scott Coleman is vice president of Corporate Marketing & Sales and the corporation’s chief marketing and sales officer. He joined DuPont in 2011 and leads marketing and sales practices and competencies within DuPont and also is responsible for the DuPont Brand and Marketing Services.
Prior to joining DuPont, he was a senior vice president for Dresser, Inc. where he was responsible for strategy development, marketing, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions. With prior experience in a variety of progressive senior leadership roles at General Electric, Mr. Coleman has a proven track record of building deep marketing and sales competency and a solid reputation for increasing revenues and profitability across a matrix environment. His previous accomplishments include driving a better connection of marketing with R&D, revitalization of the marketing and sales functions, enhancing brands and redesigning digital marketing tools and strategies.
Mr. Coleman has 25 plus years experience in marketing, sales and business leadership. He has an M.B.A. from New Hampshire University and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Indiana State University.
Nicholas C. Fanandakis, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Nicholas C. Fanandakis is executive vice president and chief financial officer. He joined DuPont in 1979 as an accounting and business analyst in the Petrochemicals Department in Wilm., Del.
Over the next several years, Mr. Fanandakis served in a variety of plant, marketing, and product management positions within Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Pigments, and Specialty Chemicals.
He also spent about six years in the Fluorochemicals business. In 1993, he was appointed regional manager in Specialty Chemicals. In 1995, he was appointed business manager – Safety and Environmental Management Services. In January 1997, he was appointed to the position of global business and operations manager – Peroxygens.
In October 1999, Mr. Fanandakis was appointed to the position of business director - Industrials, with responsibility for the Industrial Solutions market space, which includes Acrylonitrile, Anchorage Systems, Aniline, Aramid Intermediates, Cyanides, Dimethyl Sulfate, Methylamines, Reactive Metals, Refinery, Secure Environmental Treatment, and DuPont™ Vazo® Free Radical Initiators. He was named vice president and general manager - DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise in September 2003. In February 2007 he was named vice president – Corporate Plans. In January 2008 he was named group vice president – DuPont Applied BioSciences. He was named to his current position in November 2009.
Mr. Fanandakis was born in Boston, Mass. He obtained BA Accounting and MBA Business Administration degrees from Northeastern University (1979) and Grand Valley State College (1984).
