The Thin Films Deposition Power Conversion & Thermal Instrumentation business unit will principally serves its OEM and end customers in the semiconductor, flat panel display, solar module and other capital equipment markets. The Renewable Power Inverters business unit will focus on residential, commercial and utility-scale solar projects and installations, selling primarily to distributors, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, developers, and utility companies. Advanced Energy Industries was founded by Douglas S. Schatz in 1981 and is headquartered in Fort Collins, CO.
