The Insurance Agencies segment serves as a manager in the sale of title insurance and commercial lines of insurance. It also includes full lines of property, casualty, life, health, and employee benefit products and services. The General Corporate & Other segment includes leasing, mortgage lending, and trust services; credit card activities; and investment services. The company, as well as its consumer finance, credit insurance, insurance agency, and brokerage subsidiaries, provide commercial banking, leasing, mortgage origination and servicing, insurance, brokerage, and trust services to corporate customers, local governments, individuals, and other financial institutions. BancorpSouth was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Tupelo, MS.
