Microsoft Corp. develops, manufactures, licenses, and supports a wide range of software products and services for various computing devices. It offers operating systems for personal computers, servers, and intelligent devices; server applications for distributed computing environments; information worker productivity applications; business solutions applications; high-performance computing applications; software development tools and video games. It also designs and sells hardware, including the Xbox 360 gaming and entertainment console and accessories, the Zune digital music and entertainment device and accessories, and Microsoft personal computer hardware products. Microsoft operates through five divisions: Windows & Windows Live, Server and Tools, Online Services, Microsoft Business, and Entertainment and Devices. The Windows & Windows Live division is engaged in the development and marketing of the Windows Operating System, Windows Live and Internet Explorer. The Server and Tools division develops and markets server software, software developer tools, services, and solutions that are designed to make information technology professionals and developers and their systems more productive and efficient and it also builds standalone and software development lifecycle tools for software architects, developers, testers, and project managers. The Online Services division consists of online information offerings such as Bing, MSN portals and channels, as well as an online advertising platform with offerings for both publishers and advertisers. The Microsoft Business division offerings consist of the Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Dynamics business solutions. The Microsoft Office system products are designed to increase personal, team, and organization productivity through a range of programs, services, and software solutions and the Microsoft Dynamics products provide business solutions for financial management, customer relationship management, supply chain management, and analytics applications for small and mid-size businesses, large organizations, and divisions of global enterprises. The Entertainment and Devices division is engaged in the development, production, and marketing of Xbox 360 platform, including the Xbox 360 gaming and entertainment console and accessories, third-party games and games published under the brand Microsoft and Xbox LIVE services. The company was founded by William H. Gates III in 1975 and is headquartered in Redmond, WA.

- Steven A. Ballmer is chief executive officer of Microsoft Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of software for personal and business computing. Ballmer joined Microsoft in 1980 and was the first business manager hired by Bill Gates. Since then, Ballmer's leadership and passion have become hallmarks of his tenure at the company. Ballmer and the company's business and technical leaders are focused on continuing Microsoft's innovation and leadership across the company's core businesses. Microsoft's goal is to provide an integrated platform to enable a seamless experience across a wide range of computing and non-PC devices and services. Variously described as ebullient, focused, funny, passionate, sincere, hard-charging and dynamic, Ballmer has infused Microsoft with his own brand of energetic leadership, vision and spirit over the years. Ballmer was born in March 1956, and grew up near Detroit, where his father worked as a manager at Ford Motor Co. - "As chief financial officer, Peter Klein is responsible for leading Microsoft Corp.'s worldwide finance organization which includes overseeing acquisitions, corporate strategy, treasury activities, tax planning, accounting and reporting, internal audit and investor relations. Prior to being named Microsoft CFO, Klein served as corporate vice president and CFO of Microsoft's Business Division (MBD), overseeing the financial performance of the division which includes the Microsoft Office System, Unified Communications, Microsoft Business Solutions and other businesses. In this role, Klein was responsible for overall financial management including financial and strategic planning, reporting and analysis as well as communications to the investment community. Before joining MBD in February 2006, Klein was CFO of Microsoft's Server & Tools Business Group (STB). He joined Microsoft in 2002. Prior to joining Microsoft, Klein spent 13 years in corporate finance in the Seattle area, primarily in the communications and technology sectors. This included senior roles at McCaw Cellular Communications; Orca Bay Capital, a private equity firm; and several startups, including Homegrocer.com, where as vice president and treasurer he helped lead an IPO and subsequent acquisition by Webvan. Klein holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. Outside of work, Klein is an avid sports fan and active in several charitable organizations including the United Way. He and his wife have two sons."

- Andrew Lees serves as a president of the Microsoft Corporation, reporting to CEO Steve Ballmer, and responsible for a set of work designed to drive maximum impact in 2012 with the company's Windows Phone and Windows 8 efforts. Prior to his current role, Lees served as president of the Windows Phone Division, where he oversaw the strategy, development, marketing and sales of Microsoft software and services for Windows Phones worldwide. In three years leading the Windows Phone team, Lees reset Microsoft's mobile strategy, built a strong team that delivered Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 7.5, and created critical new partnerships and ecosystems around Windows Phone. Previously, Lees served as corporate vice president, Microsoft Server & Tools Marketing and Solutions Group. In that role, he provided worldwide business leadership for the Server & Tools business and was responsible for all elements of the marketing mix to maximize customer and partner satisfaction and business success. Prior to joining the Server & Tools group, Lees held a variety of different roles within Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services Group. Lees joined Microsoft in 1990 and spent 10 years in the Microsoft United Kingdom subsidiary. During his tenure at Microsoft U.K., he gained increasing responsibility for sales and marketing within the subsidiary's territory. Lees earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Bradford in England. He is married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys travel, photography and spending quality time with his family.
