The Agriculture & Turf segment primarily manufactures and distributes a full line of agriculture and turf equipment and related service parts, including large, medium and utility tractors; loaders; combines, corn pickers, cotton and sugarcane harvesters and related front-end equipment and sugarcane loaders; tillage, seeding and application equipment, including sprayers, nutrient management and soil preparation machinery; hay and forage equipment, including self-propelled forage harvesters and attachments, balers and mowers; turf and utility equipment, including riding lawn equipment and walk-behind mowers, golf course equipment, utility vehicles, and commercial mowing equipment, along with a broad line of associated implements; integrated agricultural management systems technology; precision agricultural irrigation equipment and supplies; landscape and nursery products; and other outdoor power products. The Construction & Forestry segment primarily manufactures and distributes a broad range of machines and service parts used in construction, earthmoving, material handling and timber harvesting, including backhoe loaders; crawler dozers and loaders; four-wheel-drive loaders; excavators; motor graders; articulated dump trucks; landscape loaders; skid-steer loaders; and log skidders, feller bunchers, log loaders, log forwarders, log harvesters and related attachments. The Financial Services segment primarily finances sales and leases by dealers of new and used agriculture and turf equipment and construction and forestry equipment. This segment also provides wholesale financing to dealers of the foregoing equipment, finances retail revolving charge accounts and operating loans and offers crop risk mitigation products and extended equipment warranties. Deere was founded by John Deere in 1837 and is headquartered in Moline, IL.

Samuel R. Allen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Sam Allen is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Deere & Company, a position he's held since February 2010.
Allen was named President and Chief Executive Officer in August 2009. He was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and a member of the Deere & Company Board of Directors in June 2009. Previously, he served as President, Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division and was responsible for the global operations of John Deere Power Systems. He was also responsible for Deere's intelligent mobile equipment technologies and for Deere's advanced technology and engineering. He has served as a senior officer of the company since 2001, with additional responsibilities in human resources, industrial relations, and John Deere Credit's global operations.
Since joining John Deere in 1975, Allen had worked in positions of increasing responsibility in the Consumer Products Division, Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division, John Deere Power Systems, and the Worldwide Agricultural Division including managing operations in Latin America, China & East Asia, and Australia.
In addition, Allen also serves as Chairman of the Council on Competitiveness as of January 2010. He was appointed to Whirlpool Corporation's board of directors in June 2010. He is a 1975 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in industrial management. He is a native of Sumter, South Carolina.

James M. Field is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Deere & Company, a position he has held since June 2009. He is responsible for advising the CEO and division presidents on major financial and strategic growth issues, and for managing Deere & Company's worldwide financial and planning functions. He is also responsible for business planning and development, investor communications, and enterprise information technology.

Field joined Deere & Company in 1994 and has held a number of positions in the areas of accounting, treasury, and business development and planning. Field served as Chief Financial Officer of Deere's former Timberjack Group, responsible for all accounting, finance and treasury functions. He was appointed Comptroller, Deere & Company, in May 2001, and Vice President and Comptroller, Deere & Company, in September 2002. Field was named President, Worldwide Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division in September 2007. Before joining Deere, he served in a number of assignments at Deloitte & Touche.

Field is a 1985 graduate of Western Michigan University, and holds a CPA. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of CPA.

James R. Jenkins, Senior Vice President and General Counsel
James R. Jenkins is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Deere & Company, a position he has held since March 2000. Jenkins is Chief Legal Officer for Deere & Company worldwide, with executive management responsibility for the Law, Patent, Center for Global Business Conduct, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Brand Management departments.

Before he joined Deere & Company, Jenkins was Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at Dow Corning Corporation in Midland, Michigan. He served in a variety of leadership roles while at Dow Corning, including participation on the corporate executive, finance, trademark, and public policy committees, as well as the senior management team responsible for the resolution of the silicone breast implant controversy.

Jenkins is currently a Director of HNI Corporation (NYSE:HNI), Muscatine, Iowa. He serves on the board of the American Arbitration Association, and was Chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel in 2005. Jenkins is a member of the Illinois and Michigan State Bars. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council, Inc., the Association of General Counsel, and the American Law Institute.

A native of the Chicago area, Jenkins received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army, including a year as an interrogation officer at the Combined Military Interrogation Center, Saigon, Vietnam, and was awarded a Bronze Star for meritorious service. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He also attended the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School.
