Company Description

HSBC Holdings Plc operates as a holding company for the HSBC Group. It provides banking and financial services through four global businesses, including Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets and Global Private Banking. The company's operating segments are organized into six geographical regions, including Europe, Hong Kong, Rest of Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, North America and Latin America. The Retail Banking and Wealth Management business offers various products and services to meet the personal banking, consumer finance and wealth management needs of individual customers. The Commercial Banking product offerings include the provision of receivables financing services, payments and cash management, international trade finance, treasury and capital markets, commercial cards, insurance, cash and derivatives in foreign exchange rates, online and direct banking offerings. The Global Banking and Markets business provides financial solutions to government, corporate and institutional clients and private investors. The Global Private Banking business provides services to net worth individuals and families with complex and international needs. The company's business roots back to 1865. HSBC Holdings was founded on January 1, 1959 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
