The Automation and Control Solutions segment provides environmental and combustion controls, sensing controls, security and life safety products and services, scanning and mobility devices and process automation and building solutions and services for homes, buildings and industrial facilities. Performance Materials and Technologies segment provides customers with leading technologies and high performance materials, including hydrocarbon processing technologies, catalysts, adsorbents, equipment and services, fluorine products, specialty films and additives, advanced fibers and composites, intermediates, specialty chemicals, electronic materials and chemicals. The Transportation Systems segment manufactures engine boosting systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and also provides automotive care and braking products. The company was founded in 1885 by Albert M. Butz and is headquartered in Morristown, NJ.

David M. Cote, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dave Cote is chairman and CEO of Honeywell, a $37 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; turbochargers; and performance materials. He was elected president, CEO, and a member of Honeywell's Board in February 2002, and named chairman of the Board on July 1, 2002.
Under Cote's leadership over the past decade, Honeywell has delivered strong growth in sales, earnings per share, segment profit, and cash flow. Honeywell has great positions in good industries and more than 50 percent of the company’s sales are outside the U.S. Honeywell’s growth is driven by technologies that address global macro trends such as safety, security, energy efficiency and generation, and globalization. The company’s nearly 140,000 employees, including more than 20,000 scientists and engineers, are focused on developing innovative products and solutions that help Honeywell’s customers – and their customers – improve performance and productivity.

In 2010, Cote was named by President Barack Obama to serve on the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. Cote was named co-chair of the U.S.-India CEO Forum by President Obama in 2009, and has served on the Forum since July 2005. In 2007, Cote received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Foreign Policy Association, and in 2001, he received the Peter G. Peterson Award for Business Statesmanship from the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and the Distinguished Achievement Award from B’nai B’rith International in 2011.
He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. In 2009, Cote was made an honorary professor at the Beihang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Beijing, China, and in 2011, Cote received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater. Cote is a member of the Board of Directors of JP Morgan Chase and is an advisor to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
David J. Anderson, Chief Financial Officer
David J. Anderson was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in June 2003. A member of Honeywell's senior leadership team, Anderson is responsible for all corporate finance activities including tax, accounting, treasury, audit, investments, financial planning and acquisitions. He also plays a key role in communicating Honeywell's key strategies and financial performance to Wall Street.
Prior to joining Honeywell, Anderson was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ITT Industries where he had responsibility for financial management, information technology and corporate development. Prior to joining ITT Industries, Mr. Anderson worked at Newport News Shipbuilding, where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he successfully led the effort in 1996 to establish Newport News Shipbuilding as a stand-alone public company.
Previously, he also held senior financial positions with RJR Nabisco and The Quaker Oats Company.
Mr. Anderson is a 1971 graduate of Indiana University and received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1977.
Mike Lang, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
As Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Mike Lang is responsible for deploying new technology and the core tools necessary to drive Honeywell's businesses and strengthen IT's role as a critical business partner throughout the company. His role includes increasing productivity and improving the effectiveness of Honeywell's IT, while safeguarding the company's critical information, intellectual property, and physical resources. He also leads the Honeywell IT Council, which sets the direction and focus for the function.
Previously, Lang served as Vice President and CIO of Honeywell’s $15 billion Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) business, where he was responsible for driving progressive change initiatives, providing strategic oversight of the IT function, and creating strong business partnerships within the company's ACS business. Before this role, Lang served as Vice President and CIO for Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), a strategic business unit of ACS.
Prior to Honeywell, Lang served in a variety of leadership positions at General Electric (GE), most recently serving as global Chief Technology Officer for GE’s Insurance Solutions business. Prior to joining General Electric in 1989, Lang worked at Diebold, Inc. and Westfield Companies.
Lang earned an undergraduate degree in computer science from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.
