Dominion Resources, Inc. is a diversified energy company. It supplies electricity and natural gas to homes, businesses and wholesale customers in the Eastern United States. The company's operations also include a regulated interstate natural gas transmission pipeline and underground storage system in the Northeast, mid-Atlantic and Midwest states, an LNG import and storage facility in Maryland and regulated gas transportation and distribution operations in Ohio and West Virginia. Its non-regulated operations include merchant generation, energy marketing and price risk management activities and retail energy marketing operations. The company operates its business through three segments: DVP, Dominion Generation and Dominion Energy. The DVP segment is engaged in regulated electric distribution, regulated electric transmission and non-regulated retail energy marketing. The Dominion Generation segment is engaged in regulated electric fleet and merchant electric fleet. The Dominion Energy segment is engaged in gas transmission and storage, gas distribution and storage, LNG import and storage. Dominion Resources was founded by William W. Berry in 1983 and is headquartered in Richmond, VA.

Thomas F. Farrell II, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Thomas F. Farrell II is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Dominion Resources. Farrell joined Dominion in 1995 and has served as an officer of Dominion and many of its subsidiaries. He was executive vice president of Dominion from 1999 to 2003 and was president and chief operating officer from January 2004 to December 2005. In January 2006, Farrell was named president and chief executive officer of Dominion and was elected chairman of Dominion’s board in April 2007. He is the presiding director of Altria Group Inc. Farrell serves on the board of the Edison Electric Institute and was chairman from 2011 to 2012. He also serves as vice chairman of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. He serves on the board of visitors at Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of the board of trustees of both the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges. Farrell is currently chairman of the Governor’s Commission on Higher Education, the Richmond Performing Arts Center, the Virginia Business Council, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He is a former member of the University of Virginia board of visitors, where he served as rector. He also has served on the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics in 1976 and his law degree in 1979, both from the University of Virginia.
Mark F. McGettrick, Chief Financial Officer
Mark McGettrick is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Dominion Resources, Inc. His areas of responsibility include treasury, accounting, tax, investor relations, risk management, business planning and financial analysis. McGettrick joined Dominion in 1980 and has held a variety of management positions in Distribution Design, Accounting, Financial Planning, Customer Service and Generation. He previously served as president of Dominion Resources Services, Inc. and was chief executive officer of the company’s Dominion Generation operating segment before assuming his current post in June 2009. He currently is a member of the Virginia Electric Power Company Board of Directors as well as the George Mason University’s Board of Visitors. In addition, he serves on George Mason’s School of Business Dean’s Council. He is also on the Homeward Board of Advocates, an organization for homeless services in the greater Richmond region. A graduate of George Mason University, he has a bachelor’s degree in business and was named the Public Company CFO of the year in 2011 by Virginia Business Magazine.
Carter M. Reid, Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Co
Carter M. Reid is vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary. She joined Dominion as assistant general counsel in January 1996 and was named managing counsel in 2000. While in the legal department, Reid focused on mergers and acquisitions, finance, securities law and general corporate law. She was named director–Executive Compensation in July 2003 and vice president–Governance and Corporate Secretary in October 2007. She assumed her current post in January 2011. Before joining Dominion, Reid was an associate at McGuireWoods and Hunton & Williams. Reid serves on the board of directors of Energy Insurance Mutual and is chairman of the board of directors of the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, where she also serves on the executive committee. She is a past board and executive member of the Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. A graduate of James Madison University, she received her law degree from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law.
