FirstGroup Plc provides passenger transport services in the UK and North America. The company operates through five divisions, namely: First Student, First Transit, Greyhound, UK Bus and UK Rail. The First Student division provides student transportation with a fleet of yellow school buses operating every day across the U.S. and Canada. The First Transit division provides transit management and contracting, managing public transport systems on behalf of transit authorities. It also provides airport shuttle bus services in the U.S. and manages call centres, paratransit operations and other light transit activities. The Greyhound division is a national provider of scheduled intercity coach transportation services in the U.S. and Canada. The UK Bus division serves a number of communities including 40 of the UK's largest towns and cities. The UK Rail division operates approximately a quarter of the UK's passenger rail networks. FirstGroup was founded on March 31, 1995 and is headquartered in Aberdeen, the United Kingdom.
