Executives
Edward D. Breen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Since joining the company in 2002, Breen has led Tyco through a period of significant change and transition, including the separation of Tyco into three independent, public companies in 2007. Since the separation, Breen has refocused Tyco into a streamlined set of three core businesses in security, fire and flow control. The company’s portfolio includes a number of globally recognized brands led by ADT, the world’s largest provider of electronic security products and services to 9 million residential, commercial and government customers.
Before joining Tyco, Breen was president and chief operating officer of Motorola, Inc. from 2000-2002. He began his tenure with Motorola following the company’s acquisition of General Instrument where Breen served as chairman, president and chief executive officer. Breen led the integration of the two companies’ cable businesses following the acquisition as executive vice president of Motorola’s broadband communications and networks sectors.
Breen began his career with General Instrument in 1978 and played an integral role in making the cable equipment manufacturer the leader in its industry with cutting-edge digital set-top boxes and digital programming distribution services.
Breen serves on the Board of Trustees of Pennsylvania’s Grove City College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics.
In 2009, Breen was named to Ethisphere’s 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics list.
Judith A. Reinsdorf, Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Judith A. Reinsdorf is executive vice president and general counsel for Tyco International. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s legal organization, which includes corporate governance and compliance, as well as the company’s public affairs, security and environment, health and safety functions.
Reinsdorf rejoined Tyco in March 2007 after having served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of C. R. Bard, Inc., from October 2004 to February 2007. Previously, she served as vice president and corporate secretary for Tyco International from 2003 to 2004 and was vice president and associate general counsel at Pharmacia Corporation from 2000 to 2003. From 1995 to 2000, she held the position of assistant general counsel and then chief legal counsel, corporate, at Monsanto Company. Reinsdorf holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rochester and a juris doctor degree from Cornell Law School.
Frank Sklarsky, Chief Financial Officer
Frank Sklarsky is executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Tyco International. As CFO, he is responsible for Tyco’s financial activities, including tax, treasury, internal audit, accounting, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, internal and external financial reporting, and risk management.
Sklarsky joined Tyco in December 2010 from Eastman Kodak where he served as executive vice president and CFO for four years. During his tenure, he led initiatives to significantly improve cash flow performance, drive capital spending and working capital efficiency, dramatically reduce administrative and operational costs, restructure the balance sheet, and communicate with external constituents.
Prior to joining Kodak, Sklarsky served as executive vice president and CFO at ConAgra Foods, Inc., where he played a key role in several initiatives in the areas of finance, planning, operations and investor relations. These actions resulted in improved reporting, cash flow and reductions in administrative expenses and capital spending. Earlier in his career, he spent 20 years with Chrysler in a series of senior financial leadership roles. Sklarsky has also served in other executive finance positions with Dell, Inc. and started his career with Ernst & Young.
Sklarsky earned his M.B.A. from Harvard University and his bachelor of science in accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He is also a certified public accountant.
