Toyota Motor Corp engages in automobile manufacturing business. The company is also involved in non-automobile business including housing, finance, information technology, marine, biotechnology and afforestation. It operates through the following segments: Automotive, Financial Services, and All Other. The Automotive segment designs, manufactures and distributes sedans, minivans, compact cars, sport-utility vehicles, trucks and related parts and accessories. The Financial Services segment consists of financing, vehicle and equipment leasing operations to assist in the merchandising of the parent company and its affiliate companies products as well as other products. The All Other segment includes the design, manufacturing and sales of housing, telecommunications and other business. The company was founded by Sakichi Toyoda on August 28, 1937 and is headquartered in Toyota, Japan.

Takahiko Ijichi, Executive Vice President
Takahiko Ijichi was born on July 15, 1952. He graduated from Keio University with a bachelor’s degree in economics in March 1976, and joined Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in April the same year. In January 2000, Mr. Ijichi was appointed project general manager in the Finance Planning & Insurance Department of TMC’s Finance Division, and in June he became the division’s deputy general manager. In January 2003, he became general manager of the Accounting Division, and in June 2004, he was appointed managing officer. In June 2008, he became a senior managing director (this title was changed to senior managing officer as of June 2011) and chief officer of the Business Development Group. In June 2010, he was made chief officer of the General Administration & Human Resources Group and chief officer of the Information Systems Group. He was appointed director and senior managing officer in June 2011. In June 2013, he was made president of Towa Real Estate Co., Ltd., and became an advisor of TMC. And in June 2015, Mr. Ijichi became executive vice president and a member of the board of directors. In April 2016, he was made chief financial officer.

Didier Leroy, Executive Vice President
Didier Leroy was born on December 26, 1957. He graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences et Technologies de I’Ingenieur in Nancy, France, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1982. Mr. Leroy then joined Renault S.A. in the same year. Mr. Leroy was appointed plant general manager of the Douai Plant in April 1992, and in April 1996, he was made deputy plant director of the Le Mans Plant of Renault S.A. In September 1998, Mr. Leroy joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S. (TMMF) as vice president, and then became president in January 2005. In June 2007, he was appointed managing officer of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). In July the same year, he was made executive vice president of Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME), and then became president in June 2010. In April 2011, he was appointed CEO of the European Region in TMC, and was made president and CEO of TME. In April 2012, he became a senior managing officer of TMC. In April 2015, he was made president of Business Unit Toyota No. 1 of TMC, and was also appointed chairman of TME, and in June Mr. Leroy became an executive vice president and a member of the board of directors of TMC. In April 2016, he was made chief competitive officer.
