Dundee Precious Metals Inc. is a Canadian based, international gold mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining and processing of precious metals.

DPM’s principal subsidiaries include: Chelopech Mining (Chelopech), which owns and operates a gold, copper and silver mine located east of Sofia, Bulgaria; Deno Gold Mining Company (Kapan), which owns and operates a gold, copper, zinc and silver mine located in Kapan in southern Armenia; Balkan Mineral and Mining (Krumovgrad), focused on the development of a gold property located in Krumovgrad in southeastern Bulgaria; and Namibia Custom Smelters (Tsumeb), which owns and operates the company’s concentrate processing facility located in Tsumeb, Namibia.

DPM also has a 53.1% and a 45.5% ownership interest in Avala Resources Ltd. (Avala) and Dunav Resources Ltd. (Dunav), respectively. Both companies are focused on early-stage exploration and pre-development projects in Serbia.

Rick Howes, , President and Chief Executive Officer
Rick Howes is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Mr. Howes has over 30 years experience in the mining industry. Throughout his career, Mr. Howes has been closely associated with the practices that make for world-class mining operations including Inco’s North Mine which won the 2006 Ryan Award as the safest mine in Canada. Mr. Howes joined DPM in early 2009 as General Manager and Executive Director of Chelopech Mining EAD. Since then Mr. Howes has led the Chelopech operations and project teams to deliver consistently strong results while embarking on an ambitious expansion program. He was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in November 2010.
Adrian Goldstone, , Executive Vice President, Sustainable Business Development
Adrian Goldstone obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science with honours from the University of Auckland. Over the last 25 years, his career has included periods in government, industry and consulting. Prior to joining Dundee Precious Metals Mr. Goldstone was the Managing Director of Kingett Mitchell Ltd., a diversified resources and environmental consultancy based in New Zealand. Prior to that he was part of the international development group of Colorado based Cyprus Minerals Company. Mr. Goldstone has 20 years of experience in the minerals sector in development and operating projects and in corporate positions and has been involved in minerals projects in Africa, Russia, Europe, Asia, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Goldstone is a member of the Council of the New Zealand Minerals Industry Association and a director of Avala Resources Ltd. He is also recognized internationally as an expert on water management and cyanide use in the minerals industry and has given numerous lectures, papers and short courses to industry and other groups. Mr. Goldstone joined DPM in 2006.
Hume Kyle, , Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Hume Kyle has over 25 years of private sector and public accounting experience, bringing a broad range of financial expertise and business experience to DPM, including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and reporting, taxation, treasury, risk management and corporate communications. Prior to joining DPM, Mr. Kyle held increasingly senior financial executive positions in a number of large, publicly traded, multinational energy and natural resource businesses. More recently, this included TransAlta Corporation, an $11 billion power generating company, and Fort Chicago Energy Partners, a $3.5 billion pipeline, NGL and power business. Mr. Kyle is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and accounting from the University of Western Ontario and a Graduate Diploma in accounting from McGill University. He has also served on a number of corporate and industry boards and has been an active supporter of local organizations, including the United Way. Mr. Kyle was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in June 2011.
Lori E. Beak, , Senior Vice President, Investor & Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Secretary
Ms. Beak has over 20 years of experience in the resource and financial industry serving in a corporate secretarial capacity to public companies since 1986 including International Corona Resources Ltd., which successfully developed the Williams Mine in Northern Ontario, and most recently with Dundee Corporation and Dundee Wealth Management Inc. Ms. Beak was appointed Corporate Secretary of DPM in 2001, Vice President in 2003 and assumed responsibility for investor relations in December 2008. She is also a member of the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries and the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
Michael Dorfman, , Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Michael Dorfman has more than 10 years of investment banking experience with a focus on the mining sector. Prior to joining DPM, he worked in the investment banking groups of Stonecap Securities (formerly Blackmont Capital), Thomas Weisel Partners (formerly Westwind Partners), and Merrill Lynch Canada. During this time, Mr. Dorfman advised senior management teams on numerous mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. He was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing buy and sell side M&A mandates as well as equity and debt capital markets transactions. Mr. Dorfman holds an Honours in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Dorfman joined DPM in April 2011.
Richard Gosse, , Senior Vice President, Exploration
Richard Gosse brings over 28 years of experience in minerals exploration working for such companies as BHP, Anglo American and Rio Tinto in a number of different commodities. He brings extensive experience in intrusive hosted and sediment hosted deposits as well as mesothermal, epithermal and porphyry gold and copper deposits. He has most recently served as Vice President, Exploration with Turquoise Hill Resources (formerly Ivanhoe Mines) and SouthGobi Resources. He has led exploration work with great success in a variety of countries in Europe and Asia including Bulgaria, Mongolia, India, China and Indonesia. Richard holds a B.Sc. Geology from Queen's University and an M.Sc. Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines in London.
Paul Proulx, , Senior Vice President, Corporate Services
Paul Proulx obtained his Bachelor degree in Political Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto. Mr. Proulx has over 20 years of experience in a variety of senior management roles. These roles include Group Vice President of Human Resources for an international food company and work with diverse client groups in the public and private sectors while with IBM's Business Transformation Practice. Mr. Proulx also held a variety of senior roles with CanWel Distribution Ltd. including VP Human Resources, VP Corporate Services and Ontario General Manager with Weston Bakeries Ltd., where he worked in both staff and operating roles. Mr. Proulx joined DPM in 2006.
David Rae,, Senior Vice President, Operations
David Rae is a seasoned international mining and smelting executive with extensive experience in Africa, Europe and Canada. He has held increasingly senior operating and executive roles with international mining companies including Falconbridge, Xstrata and most recently, Andean American. Mr. Rae holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Metallurgy from Leeds University in Yorkshire, England. Mr. Rae was appointed SVP, Operations in November 2012.
Jeremy Cooper, , Vice President, Commercial Affairs
Mr. Cooper has over 30 years retail and investment banking experience particularly in the mining sector. Prior to joining DPM, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Deutsche Bank's Mining Finance team which provided advice and finance for mining and smelter clients around the world. Mr. Cooper has been with DPM since the acquisition of the Chelopech mine in September 2003. His responsibilities have included the sales of Chelopech concentrate and coordination of the acquisition of Deno Gold and Namibia Custom Smelters. He was appointed Vice President, Commercial Affairs in May 2010.
Michael Frilegh, , Vice President and Treasurer
Michael Frilegh is an accomplished financial professional with over 25 years of financial management and treasury experience including numerous public and private financings and a variety of market trading and hedging activities. Most recently, Mr. Frilegh worked as the Vice President and Treasurer of Noranda Inc./Falconbridge Ltd. where he was responsible for all aspects of credit, cash and liability management, treasury Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, financing negotiations, market trading activities and banking relationships. He oversaw a global treasury staff and operations in Canada, the U.S., Chile and Switzerland. Mr. Frilegh joined DPM in January 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1978.
Iliya Garkov, , PhD, Vice President and General Manager, Krumovgrad
Dr. Garkov holds a Ph.D degree in Mining of Minerals from the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia and has been employed by Chelopech Mining EAD for 17 years. He also holds a certificate and diploma in Management from the Open University in Bulgaria. Dr. Garkov was promoted to Chelopech Mine Operations Manager in 2008 and to Vice President, Mining in 2011 where he introduced improvements in mining methods and efficiency and implemented rigorous and effective safety standards. Dr. Garkov was then appointed General Manager of Kapan where he made necessary improvements to ensure the long term sustainable success of Kapan. Most recently, Dr. Garkov was appointed VP and General Manager, Krumovgrad to develop the workforce and operational readiness plan from detailed design through to operation.
Nikolay Hristov, , PhD, Vice President and General Manager, Chelopech Mine
Nikolay Hristov obtained M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Mineral Processing from the University of Mining and Geology in Sofia and has completed courses in both Engineering Geo-ecology and International Economic Relations. He has also completed a variety of management courses at the Open University in Bulgaria. Prior to joining Chelopech Mining EAD in 2004, Nikolay held positions in mineral processing, research and development. Starting as a metallurgist with DPM, Nikolay was quickly promoted to Process Plant Manager and most recently as General Manager, Chelopech Mine. Having set the groundwork for continuous improvement Nikolay aims at taking the plant to the next level in becoming a world class operation in terms of production, efficiency, environmental protection and sustainable development.
Hratch Jabrayan, , Vice President and General Manager, Deno Gold Mining Company CJSC
Hratch Jabrayan has over 13 years experience in project management, contract negotiations, and risk analysis and mitigation. Mr. Jabrayan joined DPM in May 2011 as Director of Administration at Kapan Mine. Since joining, Mr. Jabrayan has had a significant positive impact on the organization committed to the community of Kapan and the country of Armenia. Mr. Jabrayan has successfully leveraged his knowledge of the Armenian language and culture to support DPM's goal of developing local leadership talent within Kapan. In his new role of VP and General Manager of the Kapan Mine, Mr. Jabrayan will oversee all aspects of the operation and continue to make improvements to ensure the long term sustainable success of Kapan.
Simon Meik,, PhD, Vice President, Processing
Dr. Meik holds Bachelor of Science and Ph.D degrees from the University of Birmingham, UK. He has spent more than 30 years in many aspects of the minerals processing industry around the world, in both Project Engineering and in company operations. This has included design and feasibility studies, and plant commissioning, project and plant operations management selection in many aspects of mineral processing plants. Prior to joining DPM, operations assignments have been completed in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Spain, with engineering activities based from the US and Canada. In Bulgaria since 2003, Dr. Meik has contributed to all DPM’s company feasibilities studies, EIA applications, acquisitions, and is corporately responsible for maintaining and improving overall metallurgical performance.
Reuben Mills, , Vice President, Safety and Asset Risk Management
Reuben Mills is a registered engineering associate with the New Zealand Engineers Associate Board and has a Post Graduate diploma in Business Management from the Waikato University, New Zealand. Mr. Mills has over 25 years experience in the mining industry. Throughout his career he has worked in the fields of exploration survey, mine design and development, permitting, land acquisition, mine closure and the developing of strong partnership with the first nation’s people in New Zealand. Mr. Mills is also a director of various tribal based forestry and farming land trusts in New Zealand. He joined DPM in 2008 as the Corporate Director Health Safety and Environment. Mr. Mills has helped lead the operations in Bulgaria, Serbia, Armenia and Namibia towards consistency and best practice in these key areas of the business with a strong passionate focus on safety. He was appointed to Vice President Safety and Asset Risk Management November 2011.
Hans Nolte, , Vice President and General Manager, Namibia Custom Smelter
Hans Nolte obtained a chemical engineering degree from the University of Stellenbosh, South Africa and has spent more than 25 years in the mining sector, specifically the smelting industry as a metallurgist where his career has included a broad range of general and project management and consulting. Prior to joining DPM, Hans began his career as a metallurgist with the Tsumeb Corporation. From there he was transferred to the Tsumeb Smelter as a superintendent and eventually promoted to Metallurgical manager of Tsumeb Corporation (“TCL”). When TCL was liquidated in 1998 Hans joined Ongopolo Mining and Processing as the General Manager of smelters and in 2006 when Weatherly Mining International took over Ongopolo Mining, Hans was appointed as the Managing Director of smelters. During 2010, DPM acquired Namibia Custom Smelter (“NCS”) and Hans was appointed the position of Managing Director, NCS.
Robert Taylor, , Vice President, Projects
Rob Taylor has over 30 years experience in the international mining and metallurgy industry in Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern and Western Europe, North and South America, the Former Soviet Union, the Middle East and South East Asia. His background in operations, design and construction led to a career in Project Evaluation and Implementation. Prior to joining DPM, Rob successfully managed some challenging projects, and coordinated N.I. 43-101 compliant studies, in addition to contributing to due diligence and Competent Person's Reports. Rob is a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of the UK. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining and holds an Honours Degree in Engineering from Coventry University in England.
