Executives
George F. Fink, B. Comm., C.A., Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
In 1998, Mr. Fink founded Bonterra Energy Corp. and in 2001 established Bonterra Energy Income Trust which has recently converted back to the corporation Bonterra Energy Corp. Mr. Fink currently holds the position Chief Executive Officer and Director. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (SEPAC) and has formerly served on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). Mr. Fink's career spans 40 years, primarily in the oil and gas industry. After articling with Ernst & Young and obtaining the Chartered Accountant designation, Mr. Fink worked for Shaw Pipe Industries, Ranger Oil and Comstate Resources before starting Bonterra Corporation (a spinoff from Comstate).
Mr. Fink holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Randy M. Jarock, B. Sc. Petroleum Engineering, President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Jarock has been with Bonterra Energy Corp. since it was founded in 1998 and has been with the company through its conversion to Bonterra Energy Income Trust in 2001 and recent conversion back to the corporation Bonterra Energy Corp. Mr. Jarock has held several roles with increased responsibility throughout the years and currently holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Jarock's career in the oil and gas industry spans more than 20 years. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta, Mr. Jarock worked for major oil and gas companies before joining Comstate Resources Ltd. as Operations Manager in 1994. Bonterra Energy Corp. was a spin-off from Comstate Resources Ltd.
Robb D. Thompson CA, B. Comm. (Honors), Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Thompson joined Bonterra in February of 2011 as Vice President, Finance and now holds the position of Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. In addition to the above, he is also engaged part-time as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Geomark Exploration Ltd. and Pine Cliff Energy Ltd. Prior thereto, from February 2008 to October 2010, Mr. Thompson was the Chief Financial Officer of Sonde Resources Corp., a public oil and gas company. and held the same position from January 2007 to January 2008 at Berkana Energy Inc., a public oil and gas company. From September 2000 to December 2006, Mr. Thompson was the Chief Executive Officer of Dynetek Industries Ltd., a public alternative energy company.
