The Platforms and Services (U.S.) segment comprises the U.S headquartered land and armaments business, with operations in the U.S, UK, Sweden and South Africa, together with U.S based services and sustainment activities, including ship repair and modernization services. The Platforms and Services (UK) segment comprises its group's UK based air and maritime activities and certain shared services activities, including the UK based advanced technology centre. The Platforms and Services (International) segment comprises its group's businesses in Saudi Arabia, Australia as well as shareholdings in MBDA and Indian business. BAE Systems was founded on November 30, 1999 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
