Texas Instruments Incorporated is a global analog and digital semiconductor IC design and manufacturing company. In addition, to analog technologies, digital signal processing and microcontroller semiconductors, it designs and manufactures semiconductor solutions for analog and digital embedded and application processing. The company operates through four business segments: Analog segment, Embedded Processing segment, Wireless segment and Other segment. The Analog segment semiconductors change real-world signals such as sound, temperature, pressure and images by conditioning them, amplifying them and often converting them to a stream of digital data that can be processed by other semiconductors, such as digital signal processors. Its product portfolio includes high-volume analog and logic, high-performance analog and power management. The High-volume analog and logic products include specific applications and custom products. The High-performance analog products include standard analog semiconductors, such as amplifiers, data converters and interface semiconductors. The Power management products include both standard and custom semiconductors that help customers manage power in any type of electronic system. It designs and manufactures power management semiconductors for both portable devices, such as handheld consumer electronics, laptop computers and cordless power tools and line-powered systems, such as computers, digital TVs, wireless base stations and high-voltage industrial equipment. The Embedded Processing segment products include digital signal processing and microcontrollers. Digital Signal Processing performs mathematical computations almost instantaneously to process and improve digital data. Microcontrollers are designed to control a set of specific tasks for electronic equipment. It manufactures and sells standard and catalog Embedded Processing products used in many different applications and custom Embedded Processing products used in specific applications, such as communications infrastructure equipment and automotive. The Wireless segment designs, manufactures and sells semiconductors that enable connectivity through means other than the cellular network, such as Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi networks. The Other segment includes smaller semiconductor product lines and sales handheld graphing and scientific calculators. The company was founded in 1930 by Cecil H. Green, Patrick Eugene Haggerty, John Erik Jonsson and Eugene McDermott and is headquartered in Dallas, TX.

Richard (Rich) K. Templeton, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Rich Templeton is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Texas Instruments. He became chairman of the board in April 2008, and president and chief executive officer in May 2004. He has served on the company's board of directors since July 2003. From April 2000 through April 2004, Templeton was chief operating officer of TI. He was executive vice president of the company and president of TI's Semiconductor business from June 1996 through April 2004. Templeton is credited with helping to define and execute TI's strategy to focus on semiconductors for signal processing. Operationally, he guided the company during this transformation. Later as CEO, he continued to reshape the company, focusing resources on growth opportunities in Analog and Embedded Processing while repositioning our Wireless business on growth areas in the smartphone market. Throughout this process, he has maintained the company's strategic investments in R&D and manufacturing, while expanding the size of our sales and applications engineering team to better serve our customers. Under his leadership, TI has emerged stronger, with better technological and product positions in each of these core businesses. Templeton joined the company in 1980 after earning a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Union College in New York. He spent his operational career in the company's Semiconductor business, beginning in sales and eventually becoming president of the entire business. He topped the list of Institutional Investor's Best Semiconductor CEOs in America for three consecutive years from 2007 through 2009. In addition to his TI duties, Templeton serves on the board of the Semiconductor Industry Association, the board of directors of Catalyst, and the board of trustees of Southern Methodist University and Southwestern Medical Foundation. He is also a member of the Business Roundtable and the Dallas CEO Roundtable.

Kevin P. March, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. March was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Texas Instruments in October 2003. He joined Texas Instruments in 1984 as part of the company's finance development program. During his TI career, he has held numerous assignments in finance, operations, marketing, and general business management across TI's corporate and business operations, including a wide range of TI's Semiconductor businesses as well as its former defense business. Mr. March has served as director of finance and controller for several of TI's Semiconductor businesses and for TI's analog European operations. He was named vice president and financial planning manager for TI's global operations in 1997, and controller for the company in 2002. He earned a bachelor of science degree in 1983 in economics and business, and a master's degree in 1984 in business administration with concentrations in finance and accounting, both from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. March serves as a member of the Conference Board's Council of Financial Executives and Financial Executives International, and is the treasurer of the Texas Instruments Foundation.

Joseph (Joe) F. Hubach, senior vice president, secretary and general counsel,

Joseph (Joe) F. Hubach was elected senior vice president and general counsel of Texas Instruments in January 2000. He assumed the responsibility of corporate secretary in April 2000. Mr. Hubach was appointed vice president and assistant general counsel of TI in 1998 and most recently managed the commercial legal team assigned to the Application Specific Products division within the Semiconductor Group. He joined TI in 1984 and has held numerous assignments within the TI Law Department, including a posting in Tokyo, Japan from 1990-93. Mr. Hubach earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1983 and his B.A. from John Carroll University in 1980. He is a member of the American, Texas and Ohio bar associations. Mr. Hubach serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Greater Dallas Chamber. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute for Law and Technology, a division of the Center for American and International Law. He is also a member of the John Carroll University Board of Regents.
