Hewlett-Packard Co. provides products, technologies, software, solutions and services to individual consumers, small- and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises, including customers in the government, health and education sectors. It operates through seven business segments: Personal Systems, Printing, Services, Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking, Software, HP Financial Services and Corporate Investments. The Personal Systems segment provides commercial personal computers (PCs), consumer PCs, workstations, calculators and other related accessories, software and services for the commercial and consumer markets. The Printing segment provides consumer and commercial printer hardware, supplies, media and scanning devices. Printing is also focused on imaging solutions in the commercial markets. The Services segment provides consulting, outsourcing and technology services across infrastructure, applications and business process domains. This segment is divided into three business units: Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing, Technology Services and Application & Business Services. The Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing unit services encompass the data center, IT security, cloud-based computing, workplace technology, network, unified communications and enterprise service management. The Technology Services unit provides technology consulting and support services for transforming IT and converging and supporting IT infrastructure. Its technology consulting portfolio includes strategic IT advisory services, cloud consulting services, unified communications solutions, data center transformation services and education consulting services. The Application & Business Services unit helps clients develop, revitalize and manage their applications and information assets. Its portfolio includes intellectual property-based industry solutions, and also services for customer relationship management, finance and administration, human resources, payroll and document processing. The Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking segment provides server, storage and networking products. The Software segment provides enterprise information management solutions for both structured and unstructured data, IT management software, and security intelligence/risk management solutions. The HP Financial Services segment provides a broad range of value-added financial life cycle management services. This segment offers leasing, financing, utility programs and asset recovery services, as well as financial asset management services. The Corporate Investments segment includes business intelligence solutions, HP Labs, the webOS business and certain business incubation projects. Its business intelligence solutions enable businesses to standardize on consistent data management schemes, connect and share data across the enterprise and apply analytics. Hewlett-Packard was founded by William R. Hewlett and David Packard in 1939 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.

Meg Whitman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Whitman has served as HP’s President and Chief Executive Officer since September 2011. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of HP since January 2011. From March 2011 to September 2011, Ms. Whitman served as a part-time strategic advisor to Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers, a private equity firm. Previously, Ms. Whitman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay Inc., from 1998 to March 2008. Prior to joining eBay, Ms. Whitman held executive-level positions at Hasbro Inc., a toy company, FTD, Inc., a floral products company, The Stride Rite Corporation, a footwear company, The Walt Disney Company, an entertainment company, and Bain & Company, a consulting company. Ms. Whitman also serves as a director of The Procter & Gamble Company and Zipcar, Inc.
Catherine A. Lesjak, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Catherine A. (Cathie) Lesjak has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of HP since January 1, 2007. Lesjak served as interim chief executive officer of HP from August 2010 through October 2010. As a 24-year veteran of the company, Lesjak has held a broad range of financial leadership roles across HP. Before being named CFO, Lesjak served as senior vice president and treasurer, responsible for managing the company’s worldwide cash, debt, foreign exchange, capital structure, risk management and benefits plan administration. Earlier in her career at HP, she managed financial operations for Enterprise Marketing and Solutions and the Software Global Business Unit. Before that, she was group controller for HP's Software Solutions Organization and managed HP's global channel credit risk as controller and credit manager for the Commercial Customer Organization. Lesjak has a bachelor's degree in biology from Stanford University and a master of business degree in finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
Bill Veghte, Chief Operating Officer
Bill Veghte is HP’s chief operating officer and a member of the Executive Council. As the chief operating officer, Veghte will help further accelerate the execution of the company’s strategy by working across HP to drive innovation and customer satisfaction. Veghte will work closely with HP’s executive council to support key projects affecting the company’s operational success. Previously, Veghte served as HP’s chief strategy officer and executive vice president of HP Software. As executive vice president of HP Software, Veghte led the multi-billion dollar software business unit that provides software and solutions to help IT organizations perform better. In this role, Veghte is responsible for the HP IT Performance Suite, a comprehensive software suite that helps thousands of customers modernize their applications and web services, secure their digital enterprise, and operate their infrastructure at lower cost and greater agility. Veghte, who is known for his passion for technology and customers, joined HP in 2010. In the most recent fiscal year, he grew HP’s software business by 18 percent. Prior to HP, he spent two decades at Microsoft in a variety of senior leadership positions from engineering to sales. Most recently, he managed the company’s $15 billion global Windows® business, and was instrumental in the delivery and launch of Windows 7. Based in Palo Alto, Calif., Veghte serves on several boards including nPower, which is dedicated to helping nonprofits use technology to serve their communities. Veghte holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian studies from Harvard University.
