Bill McDermott, co-CEO
Bill McDermott was appointed co-CEO of SAP alongside Jim Hagemann Snabe on February 7, 2010. In this capacity, and also as a member of the Executive Board of SAP, he oversees SAP's strategic business activities relative to all customer operations, sales, marketing, communications, field services, consulting, corporate development, and ecosystem activities.
Werner Brandt, Chief Financial Officer
Dr. Werner Brandt is a member of the Executive Board and Global Managing Board of SAP AG and is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is responsible for all corporate financial activities as well as administration of the company and has served in this function since joining SAP in February 2001 in these roles.
From 1999 to 2001, he was a member of the Executive Board and CFO of German-American healthcare company Fresenius Medical Care AG, where he also served as labor relations director. From 1992 to 1999, he was a member of the Management Board of Baxter Deutschland GmbH and Vice President for European operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for Baxter's financial operations in Europe. Brandt began his career at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Stuttgart.
Brandt completed his doctorate in business administration at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 1991, after studying business administration at the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen, Germany, from 1976 to 1981.
He is a member of the Supervisory Boards of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and QIAGEN N.V., Venlo, Netherlands.
Dr. Vishal Sikka, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Vishal Sikka is member of the Executive Board of SAP AG and the Global Managing Board, heading technology and innovation for the company. Sikka has responsibility for technology and platform products, including database and technology especially the industry break-through in-memory database - SAP HANA, as well as analytics, mobile, application platform and middleware. He drives emerging technologies and advanced development for the SAP next-generation technology platform, applications and tools. He also oversees key technology partnerships, customer co-innovation, and incubation of emerging businesses. He has global responsibility for the SAP Research organization, academic and government relations.
In addition, Sikka has been chief technology officer (CTO) of SAP since 2007, responsible for the overall technology, architecture and product standards across the entire SAP product portfolio. Sikka is the author of "Timeless Software," which underpins the SAP architecture and innovation strategy.
Sikka holds a doctorate in computer science from Stanford University in California, and his experience includes research in artificial intelligence, programming models and automatic programming, and information management and integration – at Stanford, at Xerox Palo Alto Labs, and as founder of two startup companies.
Luisa Deplazes Delgado, Chief Human Resources Officer
Luisa Deplazes Delgado is a member of the Executive Board and Global Managing Board of SAP AG and is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), She is responsible for all human resources activities at SAP globally and serves as Labor Relations Director of SAP AG. She joined SAP in September 2012.
Before joining SAP, Luisa Deplazes Delgado spent more than 20 years in business and HR functions with Procter & Gamble (P&G), most recently CEO and general manager of P&G Nordic, based in Stockholm, Sweden. From 2007 to 2012, Luisa Deplazes Delgado led a significant business transformation effort in the region. She brought the organization closer to the digitally-savvy Nordic customer base through innovative sales and marketing as well as organizational and leadership programs, which in turn drove growth and productivity in the region. Previously, Luisa Deplazes Delgado served for seven years as P&G's head and vice president of HR for Western Europe, leading the transformation of its HR function to strategic business partner and change agent. She has worked for P&G in various local and international roles in Portugal, the UK, Belgium and Switzerland, both in business units and corporate HR.
Luisa Deplazes Delgado is responsible for driving and enhancing SAP's strategic people agenda, focusing on leadership development, talent development, recruitment and employee engagement, as well as organizational design and simplification, which are essential for the long term success of SAP, and the achievement of the company's 2015 goals.
Luisa Deplazes Delgado studied law at the Université de Genève. She holds a master's degree in law from the University of London's King's College and London School of Economics, as well as other post-graduate qualifications.
Luisa Deplazes Delgado is member of the supervisory board of INGKA Holding B.V. (also called the IKEA Group), Leiden, Netherlands; and member of the Board of Directors of SAFILO Group S.p.A., Padua, Italy.
