Orvana is a gold and copper producer with organic growth opportunities. Orvana’s producing properties consist of,

(i) El Valle-Boinás Mine (the “Boinás Mine”) and Carlés Mine (collectively with the Boinás Mine “EVBC” or the “EVBC Mines”), two underground gold-copper-silver mines located in the northern part of Spain; and,

(ii) Upper Mineralized Zone at the Don Mario Mine (the “Don Mario Mine”), an open-pit gold-copper-silver mine located in the south-eastern part of Bolivia.

Orvana’s focus is currently on its operations and growth through exploration at and surrounding its operations. However, the Company does also consider opportunities to add value through external growth.

Michael D. Winship , P. Eng., President and CEO
Mr. Winship is currently a Director of Rubicon Minerals Corporation. He has over 30 years of international experience in mine development, operations, and corporate business. Mr. Winship was the Chief Operating Officer of Quadra FNX Mining Ltd prior to its acquisition by KGHM in 2012. He has also previously served as President of HudBay Minerals and Chief Operating Officer of PT International Nickel, now PT Vale. He has held project and operating positions with Inco, Placer Dome, and Cominco. Mr. Winship holds a Bachelors of Mining Engineering Degree from McGill University. Mr. Winship was appointed to the Orvana Minerals Board in February 2013.
Neil Ringdahl, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Ringdahl brings over 20 years' international experience in mine operations, development, and executive management. He also has a strong technical and project background in a career that has been primarily focussed in Latin American and Africa. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Apogee Silver Ltd., and Country Manager of Ancash Mining Ltd., before Korea Zinc acquired it. Mr. Ringdahl has also held senior positions with Volcan Companía Minera in Peru, Golden Star Resources in West Africa and Anglo Platinum in South Africa. Neil holds a bachelor’s degree with Honors in mining engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
Daniella Dimitrov, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Dimitrov has over 18 years of broad capital markets, commercial and operational experience. Ms. Dimitrov has held various consulting roles in the mining industry since 2009, including with Baffinland Iron Mines where she served as a director and the Vice Chair. Ms. Dimitrov’s former positions include Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives of Raymond James Ltd. from 2006 to 2008 and Chief Operating Officer of Dundee Securities from 2005 to 2006. Ms. Dimitrov has served as a director or member of various financial services regulatory organizations and committees including the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments. Ms. Dimitrov is also the Chair and a director of Commonwealth Silver and Gold Mining Inc. and a director of Aldridge Minerals Inc. Ms. Dimitrov has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and has recently completed an Executive MBA at Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business.
John D. Bracale, President, Empresa Minera Paititi S.A.
Mr. Bracale has been a mining executive for more than thirty years, specifically in Latin America, the Pacific Rim, and the U.S. He has managed world-class project developments and start-ups, operations and community and HR/labor relations. Mr. Bracale is also experienced in business development, logistics finance, accounting and mineral exploration. Most recently, he was President and Country manager for CGN Guatemala, a subsidiary of HudBay Minerals.
João Nunes, General Manager, EVBC Mines
Mr. Nunes brings over 18 years experience in mine operations and development. Mr. Nunes joined Orvana in February 2014 as Operations Manager and was promoted to General Manager in May 2014. Mr. Nunes has held various mine management roles in with European mining companies including Sociedade Mineira de Neves Corvo and Minas de Aguas Teñidas. Mr. Nunes holds an MBA from the MIT/Universidade Católica/Universidade Nova, Lisbon/Boston and a Mining Engineering degree from the Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal.
