John C. Orr , President & Chief Executive Officer
John C. Orr was named President and CEO of Myers Industries in May 2005 and was appointed to the Board of Directors one year later. Prior to being named President and CEO, he held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer, in charge of the Company’s manufacturing and distribution operations. Orr joined Myers Industries in August 2000 as General Manager of Buckhorn, Inc.

Prior to joining Myers Industries, Orr had a 28 year career with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing for the North American Tire Division since 1996. Orr joined Goodyear in 1972, holding positions in production and plant management throughout the United States, Canada and Australia until 1991 when he was named Director of Manufacturing for the Latin American Division. Orr is a graduate of Ohio University, with a degree in organizational communication.

Orr believes strongly in community and supports a number of local organizations. He serves as a Director of Akron Children’s Hospital, The United Way of Summit County, and Libbey, Inc. (NYSE:LBY), a leading producer of consumer and industrial glassware.
Gregg Branning , Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary
Gregg Branning joined Myers Industries as Chief Financial Officer in September 2012.

Prior to joining Myers Industries, Branning served in leadership positions with various subsidiaries of Danaher Corporation. Most recently, he was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Thomson Industries, a leader in mechanical motion technology. During his tenure at Danaher, Mr. Branning also served as CFO for Joslyn Hi-Voltage and President of Accu-Sort Systems, a global manufacturer of high-speed auto identification and data capture products.

Early in his career, Branning spent four years with Ernst & Young, LLP, as an audit manager; and later, 13 years in various financial and strategic planning positions with Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, a manufacturer of commercial and military systems for air, land and sea.

Branning holds a BA in accounting from Oral Roberts University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is also a certified public accountant.
