Newalta Corp. is engaged in the recovery, recycling and processing of saleable products from waste materials. The company provides waste management solutions to various industries, including upstream oil and gas, lead, refining, petrochemical, pulp and paper, automotive, mining, forestry, steel, transportation and manufacturing. It operates through two segments: Western and Eastern. The Western segment recovers and resells crude oil from oilfield waste, rents drill cuttings management and solids control equipment, provides environmental services comprised of environmental projects and drilling waste management, collects liquid and semi-solid industrial wastes as well as automotive wastes, including waste lubricating oil, and provides mobile site services in western Canada. The Eastern segment provides industrial waste collection, pre-treating, transfer, processing and disposal services and operates a fleet of specialized vehicles and equipment for waste transport and onsite processing, a lead recycling facility and an emergency response service in central and eastern Canada. The company was founded on July 15, 1980 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.

Executives
Alan Cadotte, President and Chief Executive Officer
Since joining Newalta in 1993 as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cadotte has provided the vision and strategy and guided the dynamic growth of the Company. He also established the high operating standards, strong business ethic and innovative mindset that are the cornerstones of Newalta today. His previous executive experience in industrial waste management and environmental services included positions with Chrysler Corporation, ORTECH, Tricil Ltd. and Laidlaw Inc. Mr. Cadotte is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a Masters Degree in Engineering.
Michael Borys, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Borys has 25 years of financial management experience in strategy development, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. His extensive leadership experience is a strong asset to furthering Newalta's corporate growth strategy. In addition to the financial department, Mr. Borys also oversees IT, Investor Relations and Communicaitons. Prior to joining Newalta in 2008, Mr. Borys was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Brick Group Income Fund. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Concordia University and is a Chartered Accountant.
Peter Dugandzic, Executive Vice President
Mr. Dugandzic provides strategic leadership and maintains a proactive approach to business management. As Executive Vice President, he oversees the company's industrial operations in Canada. Since joining Newalta in 1994, his prudent and disciplined management style has provided for the consistent execution of the company's strategy and delivery of reliable financial results. Mr. Dugandzic has over 25 years of experience in the resource and waste management industry sectors throughout Canada. During the past two decades he was employed by Shell Canada Resources, the Alberta Energy Utilities Board and the Atomic Energy Control Board. Mr. Dugandzic earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Sciences from St. Francis Xavier University.
Terry Donaleshen, Senior Vice President
Mr. Donaleshen joined Newalta in 1997 and has been key in directing people resource strategies, shaping Newalta's corporate culture and promoting a safe operating performance that respects the environment. He is strongly committed to developing and implementing programs that emphasize employee development and performance in the Human Resources area and environmental stewardship in the operating realm. Mr. Donaleshen graduated from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire with a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Business Administration. Prior to joining Newalta, he played key roles at Esso Resources, Dresser Industries, Wascana Energy, and Alberta Natural Gas.
Doug Pecharsky, Senior Vice President, New Markets
Mr. Pecharsky has been a vital member of the company's leadership team since he joined Newalta in 1985. He has held a number of senior positions within the Company over his career. Promoted to Senior Vice President in 2011, Mr. Pecharsky is responsible for developing and implementing business strategy, measuring operational performance and driving financial results for the Heavy Oil and U.S. business markets. He oversees business development, operations management, regional sales and marketing and capital planning. His strong operational leadership, aggressive approach and market knowledge have been instrumental in the development of Newalta's waste recovery technologies and applications.
Took Whiteley, Senior Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel
Mr. Whiteley has been with Newalta since 2005. In his role as Senior Vice President, he is responsible for the Oilfield Division, Business Development and Legal Services. Prior to joining Newalta, Mr. Whiteley practiced corporate and securities law with Bennett Jones LLP of Calgary with a focus on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta.
Linda Dietsche, Vice President, Finance
Ms. Dietsche joined Newalta in 2003 as Assistant Controller focused on corporate accounting after working with Mount Royal University and Ogilvy and Mather in progressively responsible accounting positions. She became Vice President, Finance in 2012. Ms. Dietsche provides leadership and oversees the corporate accounting group enterprise-wide and is responsible for corporate reporting, treasury and insurance, taxation, and the provision of Newalta financial statements for regulatory reporting purposes. She has a Certified Management Accountant designation and a Masters in Business Administration from Royal Roads University.
Troy McElgunn, Vice President, Oilfield
Mr. McElgunn is Vice President, Oilfield and a key member of Newalta's leadership team. Since joining Newalta in 1987, he has demonstrated proven and effective operations management. Mr. McElgunn has progressively held more senior positions within the company and now oversees the Oilfield Division. Prior to joining us, he held supervisory and management positions with Tuboscope, Precision Waste Management and Anadime Corporation. His wealth of market knowledge and technical expertise has enabled Newalta to further diversify its oilfield business while optimizing financial performance.
Mike Nerbas, Vice President, U.S.
Mr. Nerbas is the Vice President responsible for building and growing the Newalta presence in the United States. Mr. Nerbas has more than 20 years of experience including working with Newalta as a General Manager, Drillsite and a Senior Business Manager, Onsite. Prior to Newalta, Mr. Nerbas worked in the environmental consulting field as Vice President with Arcadis Canada and Director of Greystone Environmental Consultants. He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary.
Bryne Gramlich, Vice President, Heavy Oil
Mr. Gramlich joined Newalta in 1993 and has held various management positions in oilfield and industrial operations in Western Canada. He oversees the Heavy Oil group within Newalta's New Markets Division. Mr. Gramlich's previous experience includes various positions in sales and operations in the oil and gas industry in Western Canada.
Mark Rutledge, Vice President, Industrial
Mr. Rutledge is responsible for Industrial operations in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. He plays a pivotal role in developing and executing the long-term business strategy in these operations. He rejoined Newalta in 2006 as Executive Director, Business Development after spending three years with Methanex Corporation overseeing contract negotiations, pricing strategies and key account relations. Prior to that, Mr. Rutledge was Newalta's National Sales and Marketing Manager and he managed the Company's sales group, marketing initiatives and customer service responsibilities. Mr. Rutledge has more than 20 years of experience in the chemical and waste management sectors.
