Philip Morris International, Inc. is a holding company, which is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products in markets outside the U.S. Its local cigarette brands include Sampoerna, Dji Sam Soe and U Mild in Indonesia; Fortune, Champion and Hope in the Philippines; Diana in Italy; Optima and Apollo-Soyuz in Russia; Morven Gold in Pakistan, Boston in Colombia; Belmont, Canadian Classics and Number 7 in Canada; Best and Classic in Serbia; f6 in Germany; Delicados in Mexico; Assos in Greece and Petra in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company operates its business through four segments: European Union; Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa; Asia and Latin America & Canada. The European Union segment covers all the Europe countries except for Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania, and also comprises Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, which are linked to the Europe through trade agreements. The Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa segment covers the Balkans, including Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa and international duty free business. The Asia segment covers all other Asian countries as well as Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. The Latin America & Canada segment covers the South American continent, Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Canada. Philip Morris International was founded by Philip Morris in 1847 and is headquartered in New York, NY.

Executives

André Calantzopoulos, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Calantzopoulos was appointed as our Chief Executive Officer and elected to our Board of Directors on May 8, 2013. He served as our Chief Operating Officer from our spin-off on March 28, 2008 to May 8, 2013. Mr. Calantzopoulos served as PMI’s President and Chief Executive Officer between 2002 and the date of the spin-off. He joined the Company in 1985 and worked extensively across Central Europe, including as Managing Director of PM Poland and President of the Eastern European Region.
Bertrand Bonvin, Senior Vice President Research & Development
Bertrand was appointed Senior Vice President, Research & Development in December 2011.
Bertrand joined Philip Morris International in 1993 as a Senior Project Engineer in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. From 1996 to 2008, he held numerous management positions in Operations in affiliates in Eastern Europe and in Turkey. In May 2008, he was appointed Vice President Operations, Asia Region. In April 2011, he became Vice President Operations Technical Services with worldwide responsibility for engineering, quality and compliance of our products.
Bertrand holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Jacek Olczak, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Olczak joined Philip Morris Polska in 1993 as Manager, Finance and Administration. After serving as Manager, Internal Controls, in 1995 with Philip Morris International in Lausanne, Mr. Olczak returned to Poland in 1996 where he held various positions in Finance, Sales, and Operations. Between 2002 and 2006, Mr. Olczak worked extensively across Central Europe and the Baltic States, and in 2004 was appointed Managing Director, Poland and Baltic States. In October 2006, he became Managing Director for Germany and Austria, and from April 2009 until July 31, 2012, he served as President of Philip Morris International’s European Union Region, with responsibility for managing our operations in the EU.
Prior to joining Philip Morris International, Mr. Olczak worked for BDO Binder Sp. z o.o. in London and Warsaw. Mr. Olczak holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Lodz in Poland.
