USG Corporation is a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building systems through its United States Gypsum Company, USG Interiors, LLC, L&W Supply Corporation and other subsidiaries. Headquartered in Chicago, USG’s worldwide operations serve the commercial, residential, and repair and remodel construction markets. USG’s wall, ceiling, flooring and roofing products provide leading-edge building solutions for customers, while L&W Supply branch locations efficiently stock and deliver building materials nationwide.

USG is a leader in each of its three core businesses. USG is number one in gypsum wallboard with about 25 percent of the North American market. USG leads this business with low-cost capacity and market-leading brands, such as SHEETROCK® brand wallboard and joint treatment, SHEETROCK® UltraLight wallboard, DUROCK® cement boards and FIBEROCK® gypsum fiber panel products. About two-thirds of sales are from non-wallboard products. USG's worldwide ceilings business, whose products are primarily used in non-residential buildings, is the second largest in the industry. These businesses maintain a strong relationship with dealers that carry both ceilings and gypsum products. USG's building products distribution business, L&W Supply, is the only specialty gypsum dealer with a national presence. L&W's size (about $1.1 billion in revenues during 2011) gives it advantages from economies of scale not available to its primary competitors, which tend to be small, local independent dealers. L&W sold about 8 percent of all wallboard in the U.S. in 2011.
