Andrew Pryde, Chief Risk Officer
Andrew was appointed Chief Risk Officer in January 2011 and is a member of the Executive Committee. Andrew joined Beazley as Group Actuary in 2005 and was responsible for all aspects of actuarial advice to the Group. Prior to that, Andrew was an actuarial consultant providing advice to a range of Lloyd's and international clients. Andrew is an Affiliate of the Institute of Risk Management and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
Clive Washbourn, Head of Marine
Clive joined Beazley in 1998 as Head of Marine for Syndicate 2623/623 and is a member of both the Beazley plc and Beazley Furlonge Limited Boards. Clive has more than twenty five years experience in the marine insurance industry and is a member of the LMA Marine Committee and Chairman of the Joint War Committee.
Andrew Horton, Chief Executive
Andrew was appointed CEO of Beazley Group plc and President of Beazley Insurance Company Inc in September 2008. Based in London and previously the Group's finance director, Andrew joined Beazley in June 2003 having spent the previous 15 years in the banking industry.
Adrian Lewers, Head of Political Risks & Contingency
Adrian started his Lloyd's career in 1989, initially underwriting marine classes and subsequently specialising in war and political risk. As one of the most experienced market practitioners, Adrian joined Beazley in 2001 with the responsibility for developing further the political, contract frustration and credit risk business and establishing Beazley as a leader in this class. Today, Beazley is a leading Lloyd's and London Market insurer in these classes. Adrian heads up the Political Risks and Contingency Group, PCG, created as a separate division within Beazley in 2008, and he is also a member of the Executive Committee at Beazley.
Adrian Cox, Head of Specialty Lines
Adrian began his career at Gen Re in 1993 writing short tail facultative reinsurance before moving to the treaty department in 1997, where he wrote both short and long tail business specialising in Financial Lines. He joined Specialty Lines at Beazley in 2001 where he has performed a variety of roles, including building the long tail treaty account, managing the private enterprise teams, underwriting manager, and managing the large risk teams before taking responsibility for Specialty Lines in 2008. He was appointed to the Boards of Beazley Furlonge ltd in 2008, and Beazley Plc in 2011.
Dan Jones, Director Broker
Daniel L. Jones retired in 2003 as Vice-Chairman for Marsh, Inc., responsible for non-North American operations, strategic planning, mergers/acquisitions, and offices out of London. In 2006 he re-entered the broking business as chief executive for the broking operations of Fred A. Moreton & Co., a Salt Lake City-based regional financial services concern focusing on the western United States. Dan Jones served as a non executive director of Beazley between 2006 and 2010. In June 2010, he stepped down from the Beazley plc board to join the company's executive committee. In his new role as head of Beazley's strategic broker relations program, his focus is on deepening relationships with key business producers around the world.
Ian Fantozzi, Chief Operating
Ian joined Beazley in 2003 and was appointed COO in July 2011. Ian first joined Beazley as an IT Programme Manager, then moved to Marine in 2006 as Operations Manager. In 2008, Ian took on a Group role of Underwriting and Claims Operations Manager, then became Head of UCO for the UK & Non-US offices. Ian has worked in the Insurance sector for over 10 years, and has degrees in Economics and Computation.
Jonathan Gray, Head of Property Group
Jonathan is a Director at Beazley, having joined the company in 1992. Jonathan sits on Beazley's Executive and PLC boards and leads the Property group today based in the UK, US and Asia. Jonathan entered Lloyd's in 1973 when he began his career as an Underwriting Assistant.
Martin Bride, Group Finance Director
Martin joined Beazley as Group Finance Director in April 2009. Martin has extensive top level experience in the insurance sector and his twenty-three year career includes a number of senior level finance and general management roles including four years as a Director of a substantial London Market business. Martin trained as a property casualty actuary and became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1988.
Neil Maidment, Chief Underwriting Officer
Neil is the Chief Underwriting Officer of the Group. After graduating from St Edmund Hall, Oxford, he began his career at Lloyds in 1984, writing the Non-Marine Treaty account. He joined Beazley in 1990 and was appointed to the Board in 1993. Neil was elected to the Board of the Lloyd's Market Association in 2011 and is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Penny Malik, Head of Talent Management
Penny Malik is responsible for Talent Management at Beazley. She joined Beazley in September 2003 as Business Manager for Specialty Lines before moving across to Talent Management in July 2005. Previously she spent fourteen years in executive search specialising in the insurance sector.
Sian Coope, Company Secretary & Head of Compliance
Sian Coope joined Beazley as Compliance Officer in April 2001 after three years as the Middle East regional financial controller with Aviva overseas. Prior to that, Sian was Systems Analyst for Beazley for four years. Sian Coope was appointed company secretary in May 2009 and continues with her group compliance oversight role as well.
