Jason L. Tienor, President & Chief Executive Officer
Jason Tienor, 37, has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Telkonet, Inc. since December 2007. During this time, Mr. Tienor has transitioned Telkonet into a profitable public company whose operating divisions continue to increase market share while developing innovative technology products. From August 2007 until December 2007, Mr. Tienor served as Telkonet's Chief Operating Officer and shortly thereafter was named Telkonet's President and Chief Executive Officer. In 2001, Mr. Tienor co-founded the technology company EthoStream and grew it into the fastest growing HSIA provider to the hospitality industry, serving as its' Chief Executive Officer and President until it was acquired by Telkonet in August of 2007. Prior to his achievements at EthoStream, Mr. Tienor co-founded and was Managing Partner of a successful Milwaukee-based IT consulting firm from 2000-2002. Mr. Tienor received his BBA in Management Informations Systems and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh in 1998 and an MBA with an emphasis in Computer Science from Marquette University in 2002.
Jeff Sobieski, Chief Technology Officer
Jeff Sobieski, 35, is the chief technology officer for Telkonet. From December 2007 to June 2008, Mr. Sobieski served as vice president of energy management. Mr. Sobieski joined Telkonet in March 2007, following the acquisition of EthoStream, where he was CIO. As the former CIO of EthoStream, Mr. Sobieski co-founded and grew the HSIA vendor to become one of the largest high-speed Internet providers to the hospitality industry in the nation. Prior to co-founding Ethostream Mr. Sobieski was co-founder of Interactive SolutionZ, a Milwaukee-based IT consulting firm, and from this gained experience in the telecommunications and insurance industries. From 1998 to 2000, he was involved in consulting and system development projects, including the project lead on developing a new software package for GE Medical, and software tools development for North Western Mutual Insurance. Mr. Sobieski received a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and his MBA from Marquette University.
Matt Koch, Chief Operating Officer
Matt Koch, 34, is chief operating officer for Telkonet. Mr. Koch joined Telkonet in March 2007, following the acquisition of EthoStream, where he was a systems engineer from 2004 to 2007. Prior to EthoStream, from 1998 to 2000 and from 2001 to 2004, Mr. Koch was a system administrator for Geneva OnLine, a regional Internet service provider specializing in wireless broadband Internet access, managing system administration and integration for web hosting, billing systems, and workflow automation. In 2000, Mr. Koch was a system and network administrator consultant in the Silicon Valley for various companies, including Sun Microsystems, Uptilt, and, a web-based sales team automation system. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
Gerrit Reinders, Executive V.P. for Sales & Marketing
Gerrit, 49, joined Telkonet in 2011 after a successful career that included executive leadership responsibilities at Fortune 100 companies and technology startups. At Telkonet he's responsible for accelerating customer and revenue growth, overseeing all new customer engagement and acquisition activities, including sales, marketing and product management for Telkonet's products and services. Prior to joining Telkonet, he was VP of Sales at Energy Focus for two years, where he helped the firm grow its sales by 280% from $12 million per year to over $35 million. Energy Focus was a Cleveland based publicly traded (NASDAQ: EFOI) firm that designs, manufactures and installs energy efficient lighting products. Primary clients included the US Government, Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) and lighting retrofit contractors. Prior to his recruitment to Energy Focus, Gerrit held the position of Director of Global Energy and Sustainability Programs at Johnson Controls - a leading supplier of control systems and services for non-residential facilities. Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) awarded him the "Chairman's Award," the highest employee recognition offered for delivering a new transformational business model which yielded triple bottom line results. Having held executive sales & marketing positions with Invensys, Whisper Communications and multiple roles within Johnson Controls, Gerrit possesses extensive experience with Clean Technology, Smart Grid and Performance Contracting. His accomplishments at Johnson Controls included launching the Building Services business in Europe, the Performance Contracting business in the USA, and establishing competitive advantage with the emerging interest in Green and Sustainability. Gerrit is a frequent public speaker (domestically & internationally) on topics dealing with energy efficiency, green buildings and sustainability - topics in which he has considerable experience and personal passion. He has served on the executive committee and board of directors of the "National Association of Energy Services Companies", the Energy Services Coalition and participated the creation of the Certified Carbon Reduction Manager program for the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and an M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management. He has lived in Holland, England, Peru and Costa Rica for a combined 21-years, and is considered fluent in English, Dutch, and Spanish with conversational skills in a few other languages.
Gene Mushrush, Chief Financial Officer, Controller
Gene Mushrush, 42, is the Controller and Acting Chief Financial Officer. He joined Telkonet in January 2009 as the Controller. He was appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer in November 2010. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Mushrush served as a Controller and Business Unit Manager for a division of Illinois Tool Works. He has held progressive accounting roles in both private and public sector organizations. Mr. Mushrush earned a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University.
